Works out of the box including patch 8
Both DX 11 and Vulkan works.
Also, split screen couch co-op with controllers works fine.
Sterted off without any tinkering, the game frozen once after around 3-4hrs. I wasn't sure if it was an actual issue, but switched to proton 7 and haven't experiencet it ever since.
First time start up was very slow, I thought it was frozen hence I swithched to Proton experimental. Second time the same but I let it run this time. Eventually it loaded (a minute or two) and no issue ever since. It just needed a bit of patience.
Works perfectly out of the box in 4K
No tinkering or commands were needed when using Proton 6.3-8

Comes up with the choice of Enemy Unknown & Enemy Within and nothing after that
Tried to run it through a few proton version too, no luck
I have tried on Ubuntu 20.04 first, same issue than many others. I could chose between Enemy Unknown and Enemy Within but that's it. I tried various proton versions and winetrics, no use. Some forum suggested the issue is with Gnome desktop, so I installed MATE. It got better, I got to the menu but no further. Probably this is the way to tinker forward with Gnome desktops.
I however just installed Manjaro with Xfce desktop, the game worked out of the box without me adding anything to the brand new install.
