No issues that I noticed. Everything ran perfectly, and was able to beat the game in a timely manner.
Use "protontricks 35140 mdx d3dx9 d3dcompiler_43 win10". DO NOT use any start-up commands, at least for me this would cause the game to crash before even popping up with the little start/settings menu. I think that is what happened to the lastest borked report as well. Note: I did not try the game without using those commands on the latest proton, so someone should check that before even using the commands and see if the game is running any better in the latest version.
Tested with updates. No bueno. Still broken, probably will be for foreseeable future.
I struggle to decided whether to give this gold or silver. I stuck with gold because the game itself is playable perfectly, however, the cutscenes seem to struggle with a delay in sound and video by about 1second off sync. The only change I made was doing the mpflat to get the end credit scene working I just went ahead and did that before really playing. The game looks beautiful, I wish we could up the FPS to 144 but it's stuck at 60 on here which is fine for a game like this but not ideal.
Requires an MFPlat.dll and the workaround on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcCJSm3IoMY after doing that the game works flawlessly. If you want to skip the MFPlat/Virtual machine part on tutorial this MFPlat file: (https://www.opendll.com/index.php?file-download=mfplat.dll&arch=64bit&version=12.0.7600.16385#) is new enough and works flawlessly that the skill shop videos play etc. Make sure you don't use an older MFPlat or it will crash the game when you go to view skill shop previews. I know from experience. Good luck slaying those demons.
Other than the fact that some parts of the game are really annoying it runs perfect. The only caveat is that it is stuck on 30 fps. I think this is just because of how the game was built rather than a linux only sort of thing.
Perfect game, running flawlessly. Pick it up if you get a chance it's an amazing strategy game/rpg.
Won't start. I'm pretty sure it's due to the windows game portion that this game uses as a platform.
Game runs perfect but you need to play in full-screen. In window mode the game image stutters a lot.
Runs great, other than that minor artifacting I can say it runs 10/10. I did have the fog off via menu.
It was just during the water seen at the boat there was a little tiny artifacting about a half inch until you went through the water leaking into the boat. Other than that I haven't noticed anything.
Sound, movement, controller etc all work perfectly with no tweaks. Even the minigame Fish Flop works perfect, though it's quite an annoying game.
Works basically perfect. As recommended just switch the profile in the game options from D9 to D11 and you'll be set! Enjoy!
It's basically platinum, but after about an hr of gameplay during one of the cutscenes I did have the game lockup. So that's why I'm rating it silver for the time being, but again otherwise it runs flawlessly.
Runs great, it does load maps pretty slow however not sure if this is a shaders issue or what. Otherwise, it's good.
Not sure what the guy below me was talking about. Just reinstalled the game and the same error occurs (black screen after start menu). The Bronze report below using those launch options does work, but it's basically unplayable due to the frame rate. Would recommend you wait for an update to the game/proton for better experience before trying on Linux again.
I played on Medium settings. Played the intro campaign and a few minutes afterwards and there is no more black screen error. During the campaign I got around 45~ FPS average, during the actual game I got around 60-70. So definitely playable. There are some frame drops/quick lags but overall it's playable might be able to fix that with better specs/ticking something off like bloom. Overall, game is playable again and no black screen error. Not sure if due to proton or Wolcen update or a bit of both but regardless, we're back in business.
