Remapping existing buttons seemed to lead to a double input. So for example if you mapped RT to RB and RB to RT you would be hitting both simultaneously when hitting either. Therefore I found it beneficial to map to the back grip buttons since RB for shoot is kind of bad. I have also uploaded the one I use to community.
Fullscreen will cut the picture off. Windowed mode is required to see the entire game. Steam says native resolution is supported but I was unable to find that. It gets letterboxed very slightly.
Works perfectly.
Considering the game is Early Access right now the only issues I've encountered are those that are global and not proton related. Game ran perfectly, played for over 25 hours and achieved 100%.
Worked perfectly out of box. I've played for over 15 hours now and it has to be one of the better experiences I've had.
Disable Steam overlay
Input lag is present unless you disable Steam overlay. Otherwise, perfection.
Aside from the windowing issues there's nothing else to report. I'd consider it enjoyable esp. on deck.
Tested Proton-GE.
When attempting to alt-tab I am getting a black screen. This issue is not present on Windows. This issue did not happen prior to the official release update. It happens both with the current official Proton as well as a few different versions of Proton-GE. I have not yet found a solution. This happens both in fullscreen and windowed modes.
See the windowing issue. When it black screens the game is still running but displays nothing.
Developers have clearly not enabled EAC support.
Despite it having been 9 months since the prior network test the developers seem to have chosen to not enable EAC support. I have reached out to the developers on Steam forums, on Twitter as well as via their official support page both prior to and since the launch of the network test to ask about support and they have chosen to not respond to me within a timely manner.
Considering the state of many other Gundam games is also "borked" for the same exact reason, despite being different developers, I would argue that if they can't be bothered to enable it within 9 months for their second network test that they're simply refusing to do so with this lack of response and therefore it should be given up on. Sucks for those who wanted to play this game but either run only Linux or Steam Deck.
I have also tried to run this with the standard Steam recommended version of Proton as well as forced Proton Experimental with similar success.
Saving is broken
Played on both PC and deck. It appear to save but doesn't. Assuming proton issue.
