The initial story text showed up, and then it froze and I had to kill it externally.
I also tried "Proton Hotfix" explicitly, and that also didn't work.
Well, I have no idea if a typical gamer would have an enjoyable experience running this game, but it worked perfectly forme.
Very slow and choppy.
On my Fedora 33 system with an ATI Radeon 5700 XT and an Ryzen 9 3950X everything is really slow and choppy, as in more than one second between updates.
If I hit the Super key to switch windows, it starts running normally, but as soon as I focus back on it, it slows down to being extremely choppy (more than one second between updates).
This game used to work fantastically on this system. I got acceptable frame rates with most graphics settings turned up to max at 4K resolution. I'm guessing the difference is Wayland. I previously switched to XFree86.
I really want to continue using Wayland though because it is the future, and mostly now seems to support the things I I was using for XFree86 previously.
No other game I've tried seems to have a problem with Wayland. :-(
My previous issues involving Wayland disappeared months ago. Works great now.
Crashes my whole system to a forced reboot. Seems to involve cutscenes or movies.
This worked fantastically well on my rather overpowered system. At least, once I forced Proton Experimental.
It hung, then crashed after starting a new game before I force Proton Experimental.
