Runs like a comic book with 15-20 FPS tops.
Apparently something is missing with Proton bc with my hardware AND GPU and my local wine prefix (v10.5) the game runs unbelievably smooth at the highest possible settings, even better than it even ran on Windows. But with Proton the moment you enter the first village (Gorhart, I think) the comic book performance begins and it doesn't matter what graphics settings you do or how many times you restart the game.

Max graphics give a steady 90 fps in most areas, with occasional but not too frequent stutter spikes that are seemingly an issue on all platforms.

Can't launch
Tried using various tricks, but nothing works. CachyOS.
Avec Proton 9.0-4 les textures scintillent. J'ai utilisé Proton 8.0-5 et le problème était résolut.

Got flickering graphics using CachyOS's default proton - changing it to 9.03 fixes that.
Apart from what I've mentioned re: CachyOS, it runs as well as it does on Windows.
game-performance %command%
Perfectly playable, haven't had any issues, no tinkering was required
Ein perfektes spiel fuer das deck. keine Anpassungen notwendig.
Scaling filter FSR sharpness 5, constant 60 fps, battery lasts around 3-3,5 hours

Slight frame dips when loading scenes, areas, or busy fights
Finished game without issues
Works perfectly fine out of the box.

GOG version, thanks to Han Prower for the protontricks tip, steam deck had a flickering skybox when you left the first underground area. Had to use protontricks STEAMID FROM /home/deck/.steam/steam/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/ search for amalur and paste number here from folder structure. -q d3dcompiler_43 d3dcompiler_47 and it works perfect.
All max but shadows (high) and supersampling. Limiting power to 6 watts for fuil frames.
Skybox flickering. Resolved with winetricks
Works out of the box with Proton Experimental, performs even better than on Windows!
Some small freezes would be from loading area to area, besides that everything else runs always 60 FPS. There's going to be some caves where there's an exaggerating amount of lighting which would cause small dips but overall the game felt really well.
Worked out of the box, and seems generally fine for most. The issue I had seems to be a weird edge case when WINE is being odd.
Due to missing texture/flickering foliage had to run
protontricks 1041720 -q d3dcompiler_43 d3dcompiler_47
This is a known fix for "unknown DWORDS" as mentioned by DXVK devs in numerous issues, e.g. https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/issues/1407
Worked right out of the box

Works perfectly
Works out of the box
Pretty sweet
Works without problems, but need to checking mouse speed (and decrease it).

PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=30 to fix audio issues
Slight perf problems when vsync is enabled
Mod framework works great, but requires setting launch options to
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n;re_mod=n" %command%
It stops before the Menu.

There are some graphical issues, but I was able to confirm that they were also present on a Windows machine, and therefore they appear to be unrelated to Proton - thus, I indicated that everything was working as expected and in line with a Windows experience.
Works out of the box with great performance
Works fantastic!
Very rarely, it crashes on boot. Just restart the game and it will run.

Works great
Runs perfectly out of the box. No tweaks needed.
After 3 hours of play, audio became crackling. restarting the game fixed it. Haven't had problems since but i haven't played 3 hours straight again.
one crash where i clicked exit right after saving. the save file was ok.

Crashes on "Loading..."
Launches and gets to the initial splash screen (with "Press Any Key") after that, displays a "Game Crashed" dialog though the game and music on the loading screen keeps playing and I have to force-close the game. Tried on Proton 5.0-9 and 5.8-GE-2-MF exact same for both.
Everything pretty fine until I had power outage while playing. Now the game does not start even if I reinstall.
