start video had some brief half-second hickups, but continued fine, so ... no idea.
I touch any key on keyboard, the game closes itself. No crash, no errors, just game gone.
Wootility One, in digital mode (normal keyboard mode).
When swapped to AMD RX570 it runs perfectly out of the box. Previously with GTX670 has problems with Vulkan and had to swap to OpenGL which then ran perfectly also.
used launch options: "WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 STEAM_RUNTIME_HEAVY=1 %command%";
had to add the line "bBackgroundMouse=1" under [Controls] into Fallout4.ini ( ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/377160/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/My Games/Fallout4/Fallout4.ini ) to fix mouse speed issues;
to fix the mouse turning problem (getting stuck while turning right) had to use winecfg to under "Graphics" tab check option "Automatically capture the mouse in full-screen windows" + check option "Emulate a virtual desktop" and set my actual display resolution.;
Still experiencing heavy screen tearing I have not yet find a working solution for.
Proton-5.9-GE-6-ST GloriousEggroll
Proton-5.9-GE-6-ST; replaced dx12 dll's in the GE proton like in ~tfa report; had to disable mangohud for whatever reason...
some cutscene audio is missing
Had to replace Manjaro stock mesa (20.1.8) and lib32-mesa with -git versions (20.3.0_devel) from AUR to get rid of the visual artifacts.
Had to insert launch command:
PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 %command%
to get rid of crackling sound.Updated mesa to latest (from git)
After first unsuccessful start (necessary for creating wine(proton?)prefix) did "protontricks 1151640 vcrun2019"
Did try with different other settings and stuff also, that people suggested here before, but for me they did nothing or prevented the game from starting at all:
a. "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1" => had absolutely zero effect for me, so removed it.
b. with "RADV_DEBUG=llvm" it absolutely refused to start at all, so had to remove it.
c. tried Proton-5.21-GE-1 also => didn't start with it at all. Also refused to install vcrun2019 with protontricks while it was selected.
This game can't handle its own old configuration files or something else leftover from old installs. Used to play this game like 2 years ago. Have been autoupdating it since, but not launched it. Tried to run it, but crashed on launch left and right with all the different proton versions. Verify integrity didn't help. Also as I didn't want to download entire 73GB again, deleted all, but "Movies" and "Packed_DX12" folders and ran verify integrity again. After that worked like a charm with proton 8.0.
Proton-5.9-GE-6-ST was said to fix this, didn't for me.
"Preparing to launch Horizon Zero Dawn..." popup never finished.
Game itself seems have few glitches, that doesn't seem to have anything to do with Linux.
