There is lag sometimes. Online mode access requires to get the USER_DATA_5Z file from a game that has working online mode (like a windows install) and put it in : /home/twings/.steam/steam/userdata/(number)/311730/remote/
The controller isn't properly mapped by default so use Steam's input setting.
As recommended by others, I'm using those launch options (the game would get stuck on a white screen without it) : PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 %command%
You need to run the config menu before the game if you want to set fullscreen and other options.
GE-Proton7-20 was required to play cutscenes properly (mainly for story mode). Standard Steam Proton doesn't display those cutscenes. GE-Proton8 would work but the cutscenes get laggy. From GE-Proton9 cutscenes don't work at all anymore.
I didn't experience any issue except for playing the cutscenes/movies that required using GE-Proton9-27. So I would recommend it at least to play the story mode. Without it, expect a lot of black screens without sound.
It's only the closed beta version, but it seems to be working fine.
I have run a quick 30 minutes test on the start of the game. Everything seems to work as smoothly as on Windows.
If you want your Rising save data to be detected when starting a new game, you'll need to either copy the Rising save folder or add a link to it in steamapps/compatdata/1658280/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/505 Games S_p_A/

I had to switch to stereo to hear the voices.
FPS seemed to drop during cutscenes but It's maybe more a game issue than a Linux issue.
The game is not available on my Steam store, which is why I got it elsewhere. I wasn't able to sign in at the game start but it doesn't seem to prevent playing the game.
Run with Proton
It crashed a lot natively.
I had a lot of crashes natively, but the default Proton worked flawlessly.
Works on Proton but not natively.
It crashed every time I tried to go to Options from the main menu. After starting a game first, it worked fine.
The native version would crash when trying to start a new game.
It runs fine.
I wasn't able to confirm if online races are working or not for lack of matchup.

After a while, the backgound refresh can get a bit laggy when running around.
I believe not limiting the FPS results in the game running way faster than intended, making it pretty much unplayable, particularly in combat.
