Yes, it works flawlessly out of the box, the only hurdle is to get mods working, which DZGUI fixes on Linux
-nosplash -skipintro
Use DZGUI, it will allow you to play on non-vanilla servers
Launching the game without tinkering will lock you into vanilla servers

Have multiply Monitors, with different resolutions. Had to change the resolution manually in game files and change position of one of my displays in the display monitor to get it to launch in my main screen.
If you have an similar setup to me, you need to quick fiddle with the monitors to make it playable.
I think the game is playable, as long as you apply Snicker's proton font fix from the workshop.
Missing texts; Steam thread here https://steamcommunity.com/app/1937780/discussions/0/3913123362142475364/
Hopefully Proton can have a more permanent fix for the missing text issue.
Run this game on proton 5 for now, the cut scene at start might not work, but you can pass it by hitting esc.
My online experience used to be very instabile on Proton 6, 7 and GE. The game could crach up-to 3 times (without taking the game down, but giving a crash prompt that degraded the gaming experience somehow, until final crash). However, after having switched to proton 5, everything worked like butter in online play.
Newer protons fix start-up splash screen/video, but introduce stability issues.
