I didn't have any issues, and I didn't need SKIPINTRO because the intro works, at least with proton experimental, I haven't tested other version of proton.
Everything worked perfectly out of the box, zero issues with this game.
The only problem I had was that the 3d rendering/quality of the game was horrible even if I had all settings to the max, and it was caused by one config file of the game. (this is not related to proton as some people on Windows had this issue too)
To fix it I went into the directory of the game ".local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1265920/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/LiS/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor" and I've opened "GameUserSettings.ini" and modified "sg.ResolutionQuality" from 50 to 100 (that resolved the bad quality/3d rendering of the game), "sg.ViewDistanceQuality" from 0 to 4 and "IsHighResMode" from 0 to 1
Works perfectly out of the box.
As one other user said, when switching between fullscreen and windowed mode you will have a black screen in the game, but restarting the game will fix it
