I had to use a virtual desktop
Runs perfectly and fast, it only crashes after a few seconds after you open the Activities panel on Gnome 3, otherwise never had 1 bug
The game launches but it won't get past the initial (brown) screen. Using wine3d instead of DXVK or disabling Esync doesn't help.
Amazing D&D game, but badly optimized and takes a further hit on Proton
Game runs crash and bug free but at 10/15 fps
Runs correctly with or without Esync disabled, performance is better with Esync disabled but overall much, much worse than Windows
You really need to install T2Fix to actually play the game.
Download and run this: ln -s "${HOME}/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/thief_2" "${HOME}/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/211740/pfx/drive_c/Thief2"; WINEPREFIX=${HOME}/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/211740/pfx wine ~/Downloads/T2Fix_1.27b.exe;
The game did not work until I setup virtual desktop in winecfg
The game launches but it has issues with borderless window in Ubuntu 19.10. I had to run
WINEPREFIX="/home/lele/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/882100/pfx" winecfg
and create a virtual desktop the size of my screen.
