Crashes too often
The game crashes too frequently
The crashes seems that aren't related to VRAM issues since sometimes it isn't even near the max memory usage when it crashes.
Enjoyable game when playing with your SO using Linux
Sometimes the EA launcher application won't launch and it has to be retried several times, sometimes when linking the Steam account for the first time it somehow expires out and the launcher fails to launch giving a vague error, the solution is to reset the password of the EA account.
Very good game to play on Linux, has it's problems with the camera movement causing frame drops after a game update.
Alt + Tab or pressing windows key causes the game to go to windowed mode and is a pain in the ass when switching windows as you have to go into options to configure it again.
The game has problems when moving the mouse, it seems that it happened just after a game update. But overall moving the mouse causes frame drops, on lowest settings and highest settings. If the camera is not being moved with the mouse there aren't any frame drops.
Good game, works out of the box but if there's no fix for the camera movement it's literally unplayable. Try it to see if you have the same bug, I didn't on the first try but after an update it was unplayable.
No tinkering needed, game works out of the box without problems.
VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/nvidia_icd.json gamemoderun %command%
The lighting sometimes would break, the shadows too.
Sometimes when scoping the game freezes.
On some cases entire parts of the world dissapeared.
Tried tinkering with Big Picture Mode to set a resolution for the game just to test that and it somehow broke the game resolution, the game would think it was using a 1920x1080 resolution but it was a lower one since it was worse.
The solution was to go to the game settings each time it was launched to change the fullscreen settings so that the resolution resetted to 1920x1080.
Dualsense 5 controller is not supported with Bluetooth in order to disable Steam input, it needs to use USB in order for the game to detect it.
If the VK_ICD_FILENAMES environment variable is not set when using a nvidia GPU the game/proton will try to use the integrated GPU.
PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 %command% --launcher-skip
DLSS is not detected because Proton hides that the GPU is from nvidia.
Alt-tab puts the game in windowed mode.
Steam enables steam input by default, however the game supports talking to the Dualsense 5 controller, in some cases it can't, for example when using Bluetooth.
Using the controller with USB and Steam input disabled lets the game run normally.
