Game will load an existing save fine, but starting a new game always crashes; dmesg shows FAULT_PDE ACCESS_TYPE_VIRT_READ. It either blackscreens and freezes immediately on loading into the game world, or (with Proton Experimental, additional command line arguments, and turning every single graphics option down to minimum) a few tens of seconds after. Cannot get far enough that the game enables saving, so I can't test whether it's stable if I save immediately and reload.
The launcher doesn't work (shows up corrupted), so --launcher-skip is necessary
Runs at 3fps
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1
Can speed it up slightly by making the game window tiny, but even at about 640x480 it's still really laggy and unplayable.
'Serial Key is invalid' on startup
I can't start the game - it just pops up a dialog saying 'Serial Key is invalid' and exits. Some googling suggests that adding a certain path to the registry might fix this, but I'm a little lost with wine regedit as I'm not sure how the underlying registry system works. Tried with Proton Experimental and got the same result.
Fullscreen doesn't work initially. But if you switch to Borderless mode first, then Fullscreen, it works! This needs to be done every time the game is launched.
