It's just a kinetic VN made in Ren'Py, so it would be a surprise if it didn't work.
Works without OP/ED and window shaking
Opening and ending movies don't play and are just quietly skipped, viewing them from the gallery fades in and does nothing and fades back out. Shaking the window in windowed mode doesn't activate the easter egg (and therefore achievement), so you have to press P.
Otherwise everything works and can be read all the way through with all achievements unlockable, the movie playback is probably the reason Valve gave it an unsupported rating.
Yes, the 18+ DLC was installed… those scenes work too :)
I had a second controller plugged in (Raphnet N64/GC adapter in N64 mode) which it didn't like. It would crash right after the loading screen every time until I unplugged it, at which point my Xbox One S controller worked. I peeked at the Proton log but I'm not sure if it didn't like that the adapter doesn't have an SDL2 gamepad mapping, or if it's just that I had two controllers.
Probably fine but I didn't test multiplayer so don't take my word for it
On first launch it was windowed, pressing Alt + Enter made it flicker severely. When I got past the tutorial and got to the options menu, the fullscreen setting was set to 50 FPS, changing it to my monitor's native 75 FPS made it run just fine.
I chose the Vulkan renderer.
Very infrequent artifacts in text boxes in arcade mode (e.g. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2911156279)
Most text boxes are fine, just sometimes a letter or two is placed closer than it should be or is partially duplicated
Default Proton (7.0-5 at this time) plays the opening movie now, but seems to have hung on attempting to load the character select screen (going into arcade mode and selecting a difficulty)
Drops FPS with many particles / high Area (particulary dust cloud from cats), but that might happen on Windows too
Better than native public-beta branch right now, because last time I tried that, it all worked fine but I had issues with it recognizing the keyboard which prevented unlocking Exdash
