Remember that the release of 1.0 is a cash grab, don't buy this game off steam, it's overpriced

Vulkan worked much better in my case. Was giving more fps and was more stable. This probably depends on a GPU model though.
Use proton, I guess any version should work. Native is borked.
I switched to GE-Proton9-21, as the native port was crashing after showing logos and movies.
Game does not support windowed from the options
Game couldn't get past the starting loading screen on the native version, changing it to emulated version solved those issues

Occasional, probably because of my old hardware
DX11 worked better in my case, both with regular proton and GE. The latter seemed to have more stable fps.

The game, when in windowed mode was behaving as in borderless fullscreen mode
Had some small issues with starting the game using the gamepad. Probably an issue of the game itself.
If you're on Nvidia, update your drivers to 560 like a good person you are
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 DXVK_NVAPI_DRIVER_VERSION=56070 gamemoderun mangohud %command%
I tried everything mentioned below, even putting newest DXVK-NVAPI files to the wine prefix, but it didn't help, the game would still randomly crash with an error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

The game stutters sometimes, though I think it could be a problem with my CPU
PvP is as awful as always in FromSoft games <3 Performance drops a little bit though
Seems to be stuck forever with steam showing "running"
Downgrade to Proton 9.0-4. Doesn't work on the newest proton for some reason.

I have referred to those posts: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/19588oo/ready_or_not_v10_how_i_improved_my_fps_so_the/ https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3136683989
Windowed doesn't look like windowed. To me it looked the same as borderless windowed
A big slow down while on loadout select screen. Without tweaks it dropped to 8-10 fps with huge input lag. Performance was degrading the farther I was in the tutorial mission.
I couldn't get past that tutorial part with spliting teams and breaching in the same time, though it could be my skill issue.
On my hardware it would be impossible to play without the changes I mentioned earlier. The fixes even mitigated a bit the problem with loadout selection screen.
Added KeepRes=1 to conquests.ini
Whenever I chose a settler as my unit or a city, the whole world map was going black
I tested a few Proton versions: 3.16-9, 6.3-8, 5.13-6, but the results were the same. I didn't experience any crashes though, but I didn't play for long.
When alt+tabbing back from and into the game, I was experiencing screan tearing and slight performance drops. It sometimes fixed itself back when alt+tabbing again, other times I had to restart the game.
Sometimes the game won't let you keep changes after switching to windowed mode. It did work after a few tries though
Works great
Cloud saving is problematic, but that's a problem of this game that also appears on windows.

I noticed some flickering in cinematics, but it could be related to my graphical settings in-game
I didn't encounter any problems. Steam cloud worked well, didn't even have to patch the script like other people say. (I run Steam in flatpak, though I doubt it should have impact)
