Installs, starts up but then crashes.
The game installed successfully, started up and after a short time it crashed. That is repeating no matter how often I reinstall and restart it.
The game is not enjoyable due to the massive frame drops and unstable frame rate.
Unstable frame rate with heavy drops.
Several freezes.
On single player mode, it is an enjoyable experience. If you can accept some frame drops, you can really have fun.
Sometimes the frame rate drops under the 20's. But else it's working smoothly.
It runs perfectly. Even if you have to lower the settings in cost for FPS.
The game itself runs smoothly. If you have frame rate issues try lowering the graphics a bit. Then it should work fine. I got no crashes, no errors loading games and in general no problems.
Does not launch. "Wine is not supported"
I switched to Proton Experimental and GE7-37. Both did not work and the same issue with "Wine is not supported" comes up.
When I launch the game, an error message pops up with the text "Wine is not supported"
It works smoothly. Except of some audio and graphic load issues. Would run pretty much good as on Windows and even better.
When I was in game, I did only hear the ambiance of the environment such as wind and when I use my weapon. I heard nothing else.
Some textures and grounds didn't load properly and I fell through them. The structures didn't have collisions or so ever.
It works great. With a few issues, but these are barely noticable.
Sometimes in the camera system, the framerate is capped to 1 to 5 fps.
Installs but won't start.
The game installed successfully. But when I tried to launch it, the Rockstar Games Launcher came up and an error message appeared. It says: "An error has occurred. Please make sure all instances of the Rockstar Games Launcher have been closed and try again. If you continue to see this error, please visit: https://support.rockstargames.com". An "instance" indicates that the launcher is open in the background while you try to launch the game. And the problem was, that I didn't even install the Rockstar Games Launcher as a standalone software.
The game works fine. As good as it would on Windows.
Note: The game works with Proton Experimental. With 6.3-8 it threw up an error message that I should close "all instances of the Rockstar Games Launcher" and closed itself again. However with Experimental it worked well and I were able to play it without any kind of issue. Just force Steam to use Proton Experimental on GTA V and it should work.
Installs but won't start.
I used Proton 6.3-8. The game installs fine but when I tried to start it. It just closed itself.
Runs pretty much as smooth as it would on Windows. With barely noticeable frame drops.
Some frame drops at the beginning. But they get rare and barely noticeable when you play longer.
It is smooth and enjoyable. With a bit of graphical tweaking.
The performance is like the game is in slow motion. That is related to the noticable lower framerate. But it is not unplayable.
No problems at all. Playable end enjoyable for the typical gamer on Linux.
The ubisoft connect client did start up eventually, but the game itsself doesn't.
So when you are playing offline, you could have an enjoyable experience playing this game. But it's multiplayer is way to important.
Sometimes, I just move without pressing anything. Or WASD buttons don't work. For example sometimes when I press A, the player won't go left. But when I release A the player instantly goes right. I have to press D in order to stop this.
Whith Battle Eye, the game starts. You can play offline or terrorist hunt. But when you want to play online, a message pops up and Battle Eye kicks you out of the game.
