gamemoderun %command%
When forcing it in wayland mode to enable HDR, switching settings back and forth crashed the game. Wayland mode in general is a hit or miss if it works or not.
I followed these steps to make it work. Install on steam, Launch it, abort after 5 minutes, restart steam, launch it again, wait 3 minutes for it to spin up CPU fans and actually show game screen.
Couldn't get it to work on steams proton, have to use GE.
I tried to use different launch options as follows ENABLE_HDR_WSI=1 PROTON_ENABLE_HDR=1 DXVK_HDR=1 PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 WAYLANDDRV_PRIMARY_MONITOR="DP-1" gamemoderun %command%
But it worked once, and then after that it freezes on launch. But running in xwayland worked fine.

Install UConnect, and [ x ] Launch after installation. Login and keep the window open. Run the game through Steam. UConnect will prompt you that you've been logged out. Stop the game on Steam. Restart Steam. When you click on Play, it will start and stop almost instantly. Just press it again and it should launch perfectly.
For some reason, Gnome would not focus the window past Steam or Vesktop. Anytime I Alt+Tabbed, I would have focus the game, and then focus Steam and minimize it.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PROTON BATTLEYE RUNTIME INSTALLED, INSTALL IT IN YOUR STEAM LIBRARY

Make sure your the Steam account where the game is playing, is corrected linked to Ubi Account. You cannot change accounts when running the game (via login screen), otherwise game won't boot, or Ubi Launcher gonna ask always to log in the right account and won't boot.
If the keyboard is not working, log in Desktop Mode, and then, try to run the game in Gaming Mode.
Set 3500 Mhz all core with PowerTools to solve most of lags.

Loads Ubisoft connect but does not proceed further
SteamDeck=1 gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Tried a few different proton versions with no luck. Ubisoft has this game completly disabled for linux.

Started the game in desktop mode.
I got the Ubisoft Connect popup in Gaming mode, and wasn't able to open Steam Keyboard... I would assume an external keyboard would help login though
Start the game in desktop mode/use an external keyboard to login

Game doesn't run because of BattlEye
BattlEye supports Linux but Ubisoft didn't allow support

Либо это не работает Anticheat BattleEye, либо что-то не так с игрой!
The only way i know to play this game is through GEFORCE NOW which works on linux.

The ubisoft connect client did start up eventually, but the game itsself doesn't.
Tried Experimental and GE.

Game installs on Ubisoft Connect but launching it fails with BattleEye error 1053.

Due to Battleye Anticheat the game won't open after Ubisoft launcher. The Anticheat system is compatible with Linux, but Ubisoft needs to do something. The Crew Motorfest Support page also says that they can't provide information about SteamOs support.
Launching Motorfest through Steam will initially open the Ubisoft Connect launcher but you won't get any further than that

Takes a few tries to get the launcher to configure itself, after that it won't start the game at all.
