Game runs and detects controller input properly, however it is impossible to play as you can't see anything. Installing various libraries in desktop mode that allowed me to run it on a desktop linux system had no effect here.
Set R4 as left mouse click to navigate certain menus with trackpad mouse. Rest of the game can be played with default gamepad controls.
Screen would flash black once before SD image animations were displayed on screen. Constant screen flashing during opening movie.
Needs GE proton to play properly, default proton launches to a black screen. Installing 32bit libxcomposite fixes this on other distros but does not on deck.
Worked a few days ago, but now won't finish launching either natively or through proton
Window never shows when trying to use vulkan. OpenGL window opens black and crashes as soon as KDE shows a sound icon for csgo in the taskbar. Worked out of the box a few days ago but won't launch past this point now no matter what launch options I try and packages I install.
Everything working perfectly after almost a full playthrough so far. Sometimes steam input would randomly turn on which broke xbox controller input for me until it was turned back off.
Does not launch natively or with proton
Game would crash with error code 127 on native. Copying/moving lib files as suggested online caused segfault. GE proton 8-7 would show splash screen and then crash.

Initially launched 1080p "fullscreen" but only taking a small corner of my display. Changing to windowed mode and back fixed.
Usually between 35-50fps on overworld, with some dips down to 25fps. Caves and other similar areas run at 60fps
Had to change the executable names to bypass EAC and launch the game. Works well otherwise with bluetooth xbox one controller. Played pretty well at 1440p with only a few slowdown and stuttering issues which are similar to my experience on windows.
To bypass, backup start_protected_game.exe
and rename eldenring.exe
to start_protected_game.exe

Still have some stutters and slow downs in areas but much more tolerable
Game will crash very infrequently. Auto saves usually prevent much time loss
Took a while for anticheat to load on my distro after it worked for others, but once it did there were no issues
Running with minimal issues and identical performance to windows. Everything works out of the box now including online play, and both wired/bluetooth xbox one controller
Works out of box with few issues
Initially set graphics settings to low and didn't save change to ui language, but was fine after second attempt. Occasionally will freeze on initial loading screen.
Game works with no issues on GE Proton 9. Able to log in to microsoft account and played through Halo CE, 2, and 3 campaigns.
Occasional crackling with overlapping sounds in game, and character call on end screens
Scrolling through image gallery is extremely sensitive when using scroll wheel
Playing with wired xbox controller, everything is working as expected. Averaging ~140fps with my hardware at 5120x1440 very high settings. No noticable performance drops or issues with the opening scenes and first open explorable area.
Plays well with a consistent 30-60fps at medium settings. Some slow downs in large areas that also happens on windows and desktops.
Worked well out of the box from day one. Performance has varied between updates, but I'm typically ~100fps at 1080p.
