I switched to proton-cachyos (native package) because with regular proton my xfce panel at the bottom was on top of the game. But in general performance with it better :)

Absolutely no problems, running smooth and flawlessly.

I didnt try vanilla game. In general its launching, I saw menus. But I was focused on CnCnet.
MY STEPS: install red alert 2 in steam, make bottle in bottles, put red alert 2 folder in bottle, install cncnet through .exe in red alert 2 folder, then put red alert 2 folder back to steam. Launch red alert 2. If cncnet launcher doesnt launch, try to add it as non-steam game to library and launch through proton first.
Usually every launch cncnet showing error from installator like it cannot find red alert 2 folder... But it actually works, I dont have any problems.

Im using borderless fullscreen 1280x1024 without gamescope. Might be settings bug, but its a good one.

Works really good, but maybe my pc a bit too weak and I feel like slow frametime. Or Im crazy. Because numbers are saying the opposite. Highly recommend to turn on steam shader pre-caching (and allow background processing of vulkan shaders, if you dont want to wait for shader compiling before launching the game). And set directX 12, instead of 11.

I have stereo, but audio output is working with 11 (!) channels. I have no idea how to fix this.
Game works flawlessly, just no way how to play multiplayer and my personal audio issue.
game-performance gamescope --force-grab-cursor -w 1920 -h 1080 -W 1280 -H 1024 -f -S stretch -- %command% +cl_forcepreload 1 +fps_max 300 -novid -threads 9
I only added gamescope to stretch 5:4 on 16:9 monitor, game works well even without it.
Works better than on windows 10.
on windows I had cracking sounds, but on linux it works better. Everything works well out of the box.

small note: I have two monitors, and game refused to launch, because both of them were working on 75hz. I changed second monitor back to 60hz and game is working now.
game-performance %command% -nointro
it's necessary to add "-nointro" launch parameter, because game was crashing for me until I did it. Besides this, it works flawlessly.
game-performance gamescope --force-grab-cursor -W 1920 -H 1080 -f -- %command% +cl_forcepreload 1 +fps_max 300 -novid -threads 9
game was freezing entire pc before loading to main menu with fullscreen mode. I was using vulkan render. Switching to opengl fixed the issue, but game became laggy.
Gamescope solved the issue, and vulkan works flawlessly.
