I switched to proton-cachyos (native package) because with regular proton my xfce panel at the bottom was on top of the game. But in general performance with it better :)
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%

Also tried Proton Experimental and GE-Proton8-25
Game worked perfectly under official proton 6.3-6. Didn't try online though.
Worked perfectly on proton 6.3-6
Didn't work on experimental and it didn't work on proton 6.16 ge
Runs perfectly
After numerical values fixed by Petrogliph with last update, all run as expected
Everything now works excellent! Numerical values are good. Authors did their best to improve proton gameplay!

Works perfectly out of the box. The developers fixed the numeric values officially with the latest patch!
Numeric values now work perfectly. Thank you very much @Petroglyph developers for fixing this for Proton/WINE!

Works perfectly out of the box. Numeric values work now!
The numeric values finally work with Proton 5.13.
Everything seems fine excluding problem with displaying values like money or gathered resources.
There is a problem with "money" and "resources" display. Instead of real values I can se only $##0 or ##0. This makes game practically unplayable.
Numerical values are borked.

Numerical values still borked.

Numerical values still borked; Runs fine otherwise.

Numbers such as money etc. aren't properly displayed, instead showing ##0 or else, making the game nearly unplayable. The game itself runs quite well. Experienced a permanent freeze on changing antialiasing settings.

Runs, but numerical values such as number of units or $ values appear as ##0; unable to get multiplayer to function or connect; online replays functioned; adding an anti-aliasing value in the video settings causes the screen to displace in a horizontal bar pattern. (Unknown values and no multiplayer prevent a Silver rating).

Numbers in build menus etc. are not shown but replaced by "##0", which is very annoying. Multiplayer not tested.

no

The game work fine except for some numerical character that appear like "##0" making imposible know the the amount of combat units. Multiplayer no tested

No issues. Can't Alt+Tab but attempting to do so does not crash game (just doesn't leave the game)
