Crash to desktop after initial splash screen (probably loading Easy Anti Cheat)
Easy Anti Cheats seams to still be an issue. I haven't investigated further, but judging from the previous report 3 weeks ago, it's likely the same problem. Haven't tinkered.
It's worth noting that I haven't updated my graphics drivers. I'm running Nvidia proprietary drivers.
This game runs perfect on my machine. Only thing I noticed was some shimmering of the vegetation in dark pits. I hardly noticed it.
Although native linux, I wanted to try proton to see how far we've got.
Stuck in loading screen, but it's no longer a black screen
As soon as the menu music starts playing, the loading stops, and the game freezes. I tried a bunch of different Proton versions. also GE. most Crash to desktop, except Proton 8.
Due to the EXTREME flickering it's very straining for the eyes to look at, especially at the default 30 fps. It's a literal strobe light.
Extreme flickering, linked to ingame framerate limiter. Goes from normal image to completly black frames.
Only option was Borderless, no native fullscreen or windowed with borders.
Crashed when going from default graphics preset (low preset) to "Ultra High" preset.
If they fix the strobing/flickering. The game runs smoothly.
It might even work now, with the Steam recommended Proton version. Haven't tried.
I have no clue why it works so well at day 2 after launch. I think it's my specific hardware
The game + nGuard Game Guard installed with no issue. I don't get it 😂 Even the options menu works both in main menu, and in-game. The game starts in borderless, but Fullscreen seems to work fine too.
Crash to Desktop at Embark ID creation screen
The game runs, but EasyAntiCheat makes it crash after loading
Game runs fine but can't get it to pick up any VR tracking
Unplayable in Steam VR with HTC Vice. No tracking at all. It's just like starting a VRgame without SteamVR.
The game is ported from Oculus Quest, so it's made with Quest headset and controllers in mind, but works fine on my Win 11 partition.
It can work perfectly, or not at all. I sometimes need to restart the game for VR to work.
VR sometimes doesn't initiate, so the game just runs without VR tracking or anything.
If my base stations stop for some reason (Linux issue) the game UI and player movement bugs out so much I can't play until a game restart.
Works, but can be unstable, and VR sometimes doesn't initiate correctly. But I did no tinkering.
I didn't tinker with anything. The reason I played with wine-ge was that's apparently what's default in my Lutris right now.
The first time I tested this game on Manjaro, and Proton, there were severe graphical glitches. mainly missing sky and ground texture, so the game was nigh unplayable. and the framerate wasn't as high and stable as on windows 10. Now, I see no difference.
