Given the fact that even on windows the game is quite buggy, the experience shouldn't be too different.
Seldom you can hear crackling, noticeable when there is little to no background sfx/music.
NPC which have subtitles over their head have no corresponding sound, which should be there. When interacting with such characters, however, you do hear the conversation.
At this stage I don't know if these are an actual issue because of proton/wine or game bugs
Problems related to multi-monitor setup. Like mouse locked in the game screen despite setting as window mode.
For nvidia users, driver version do matter quite a lot. Before this review, I was on Fedora 31 with somewhat outdated drivers, and that would almost freeze my system and could not get to the loading screen of the game.
I strongly recommend to update nvidia drivers in order to play the game.
Before playing I had to do the following in the game directory (~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Divinity Original Sin 2):
mv bin bin.bak; ln -s DefEd/bin bin; cd bin; mv SupportTool.exe SupportTool.bak; ln -s EoCApp.exe SupportTool.exe;
Played the tutorial. No issues encountered like font issues, sound crackling, visual artifacts.
Runs quite smooth on ULTRA Settings.

After playing the game for 42 hours (only multiplayer) I found that the sound starts to deteriorate (hear crackling and noise intensifies, while the actual sound becomes intelligible) after 3h+ of play in a single session, and I need to restart to fix it in order to continue. Also, an update breaks the changes made to make the game work, and I need to reapply them after update. And, one final note: If you have multiple monitor setup, I recommend using window borderless (fake fullscreen), this way it won't jump to the other monitor when alt-tabing.
Crashes at first video. Tried using winetricks to install codecs for video but with no success.
Fullscreen issues on multiple display setup, on focus change to another app, the screen gets shrunk and cannot be restored. After fullscreen settings saving, you cannot change the resolution anymore.
