Launching game in fullscreen appears to result in the game not loading, blackscreen with no FPS counter from Steam.
To change the fullscreen setting if it's turned on and you're unable to get into the game, go to
~/steamapps/compatdata/553850/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/Arrowhead/Helldivers2/user_settings.config
and, near the very bottom of the page, change the "borderless_fullscreen = false" line to "borderless_fullscreen = true"
There is a certain level of tinkering required, however not so much as to be inaccesible to a typical gamer.
Had to remove the videos found in "steamapps/common/Pacific Drive/PenDriverPro/Content/Movies/". Also installed vcrun2022 prior to finding the actual fix, I've no idea if that had changed anything.
Game will run for ~15-20 minutes before becoming entirely unresponsive.
My best estimation is that there is a non-Linux specific memory leak that makes a full match unplayable, however all other aspects appear to run as would be expected.
Crashes every 2 hours or so
Game runs majorily without issue, will crash occasionally during play but not such that it's unbearable. Using Proton Bleeding Edge Experiemental I was able to solve the crash that occurs when enabling, as well as make use of, VOIP.
