If you don't mind not having story mode then go ahead
Cutscenes (not scripted in-game interactions) do not work. Therefore story mode is unplayable for me since I cannot get past the cut scene after day 32.

The game works out of the box however I had some issues with the camera sensitivity on touchpad I think this is fixable
The touchpad sensetivity is too high with camera

Works out of box
2560x1440, max settings. 110-150 fps
Funciona bien fuera de la caja

It drains a lot of power. Playing on battery is not recommended.

Runs great, no issues
I played for 3 hours and did not have a single issue.

The game works OK, once I specifically downgraded the version of Proton to 7.0-2

Works perfectly, no tinkering required
The game runs great, there are zero Linux-specific issues to be found after multiple hours of playing.

mangohud %command%
Switching windows causes game to go blank and unreturnable while using DWM. Switch to borderless fullscreen if you use DWM or have the exact problem.
In rare occasions your movement (both camera and body) might get locked, either sleep or faint to restore your movement. I'm not sure if it's related to launching the game on Linux but only experienced it once. You can also restart your game to escape from lock.
Game needs more optimizations, it only utilizes half of my cores. It's mostly Green Hell being Green Hell...
Don't jump on top of water lilies or you might get stuck and it's a bit time consuming to escape, probably happens on Windows too.
Game is working great even while playing Co-Op but you need a high-end GPU to actually have a smooth game experience, it needs more optimizations from devs. You can enable FSR with proton-ge-custom (read the documentation on their GitHub readme) and lower your resolution to play with consistent frames on your "perfectly capable" GPU. Game is full of FPS spikes, use mangohud FPS limiter with nodisplay option. It's a very realistic game, give it a try even if you only get 30 FPS.

Wouldn't load on default Proton settings. But choosing seemingly ANY specific Proton version makes it work. (Thus using current 8.0-5.)
With no tinkering, the game would pop up a loading progress bar window for a bit, then crash back to Steam and the desktop.
But set it to seemingly ANY specific Proton version in the settings list, and it loads just fine, no issues at all. (Thus I'm using 8.0-5, the most recent non-experimental Proton in my list at present. Which for some reason isn't listed in the report's pulldown.)
Framerate and GPU fan noise seem consistent with in-game graphics settings and what my hardware can do.
I still haven't played far into the game yet, though -- died before I could set up a shelter to save. I'll post an update later if I have trouble, though. 😎

Other than an occasional audio glitch, the game has been basically flawless without any tweaking.
Sometimes when walking around a busy area (like our base), I'll seemingly randomly hear loud splashing sounds, like water being dumped out of a container. This doesn't seem to happen when away from areas with lots of items on the ground.

4GB VRam
The game can't be stable in 40fps in low settings, but mostly you will get 30+ fps possibly it will get lower when there is a lot f enemies on the screen.

The game runs as intended without any issues. Proton Experimental

Great experience in story mode, and cooperative. I even played coop with people who had the game on Windows, and at times they reported slow
Black Screen when I switch windows with alt+tab
No adjustments were necessary to play, making it optional. It is recommended to test other versions of Proton to see which works best on your hardware. But in general, the standard stable versions of Steam already work perfectly.

After installation of the game, it wouldn't launch at all, simple PC restart fixed it.
For some reason it runs better on Linux than on Windows. I get lower FSP than expected, but I have the same issue on Windows.

game works great... except I rarely get FPS above 20 or 30. Ive tried tweaking various settings to no avail...
low fps
%command% -noblur
No problems experienced
With Proton 7 and GE_Proton7 the game would either launch on a low-poly mode at first or it would crash when using Alt+Tab. Proton 8 fixed those problems.

Game runs very well on my hardware averaging 120+ FPS no problems ran into with controls, etc. Only problem is that it crashes on alt tab.
Game would crash when alt tabbing even with windowed fullscreen.
Игра работает идеально, никаких нареканий
Works out of the box with no tinkering
Played multiple hours on different days with different kernels and different proton versions and never experienced any crashes/slowdowns
Sometimes a bit laggy in multiplayer but normally goes away quickly

Screens go black every ~ 30 mins, requiring hard reboot. This can be fixed by using the launch options, but this then causes massive lag.
PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%
Lag
I can choose between massive lag or often black screen crashes.
Same as Windows
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Flickering/flashing of the screen while in the menu. Might have happened in the game too, but I fixed it by setting the Window mode to exclusive fullscreen
and that fixed it.
Was able to host a co-op story game and invite a second player. We could play together with no issues. Had to play the tutorial separately though.
The cutscene at the end of the tutorial did not work for me. I got a black screen with only audio. Was able to watch on my husband's screen because he was right beside me. I hope this doesn't happen with other cutscenes, but not a deal breaker, I can always find them on Youtube if needed. DirectX11 error (InitializeEngineGraphics failed) on startup was fixed with the custom launch options in my tinker steps.
However online co-op gameplay of the story mode has been working. Great fun.
Decent experience at ~40 fps in single player. Multiplayer isn't reccomend, the fps suffers quite a lot.
Added further configuration for settings during "Look" and "Inspect" commands.
Game has some pretty significant performance issues. Drops lower to 15-20fps semi-regularly, usually during interaction with physics objects. It is generally stable at 35-40 fps in single-player.
Multiplayer was where the lowest performance was observed by far, with occasional crashes and generally unplayable experience.
Generally seems to be poorly optimized, but is still playable and engaging on low settings in single player, with controller configurations.
Game Crashed if Alt-Tab was used, had to swap to windowed mode to avoid while multitasking.
Cutscenes did not work, they stuttered so badly it was impossible to watch, and sound cracked badly.
Sometimes game would break so it was not possible to interact with items or other stuff and you had to restart it to unbreak it. Also the crashes from alt tab before we figured it out resultet in some lost progress.
FPS limit would be very useful but I don't know why I can't set it on whatever by the display setting (window / fullscreen)
I cant set on FPS-limit, In game every thing is fine but menu, notice (in game) and notes burn my GPU
rare FPS drops
If GPU at full rpm is quiet enough, I can recommend thys game on proton
Runs around 70fps for me on a 34" screen. Infrequent drops.
Some minor lag while I was hosting. Didn't try joining a game
Runs a little better in Windows, but not noticeably different.
Limited fps to 30
Text is small but readable
Does not reach 60fps on medium settings, hovers around 40fps
Since the game hovers around 40fps with medium/high graphic settings it makes sense to limit to 30fps in steam settings to preserve battery and maintain a smooth playing experience.
Doesn't launch
With Proton versions >=7.0 (specifically tested 7.0-3 and Experimental, as well as GE-7.17 and GE-7.28) it dies after a few seconds (play button turns to "stop" for a few seconds then turns back to "play"). With Proton versions <7.0 (specifically tested 6.3-8 and 5.13-6) it just hangs (play button stays as "stop" indefinitely but no window is created). Not sure how everyone here is getting it to work flawlessly but it's definitely not been my experience.
Worked OOTB, no issues
Played a few sessions with friends and had no issues.
save game got corrupted once, but I think it was caused by me when I played around with it a bit
Worked OOTB no tinkering
Hosted a session with two other players without problems
