Completely borked
Maybe only for intro videos

Played the game with gamemode Off, used the version of proton 6.10 GE
Other than the online (invites not received, can't coop with Proton 6.12 GE and 6.14 GE) the game runs flawlessly. I played trough Heroic. Lutris' wine have the same problems; you have to use 6.10. Proton GE is more stable in terms of gameplay. Feral Gamemode may cause crashes while loading Haven't tried it with earlier versions of Proton nor Lutris' wine
No issues, played with mouse and keyboard
Works out of the box

Proton-5.9-GE-3-ST GloriousEggroll
Proton-5.9-GE-3-ST
Flawless, no problems.
Completed the story line, not so much as a hiccup.
Works perfectly out of the box! I didn't quite max out my FPS but I don't know if that has anything to do with Linux.
No issues.

Runs out of the box on Manjaro 18.1 (default Linux kernel and Mesa). This is playable at 1080p using a Radeon RX 550 4GB. See game play video here --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dx_AFF5KR1k&feature=youtu.be&t=61

0 problems

Runs perfectly. No issues besides some pointer confinement problems when the window is fullscreen (likely xwayland, I'm using sway).

Played 2 main and 2 side missions, no issues at all. 1440p, max settings, at least 60 fps (had vsync enabled all the time). The game runs very smooth.

Works out of the box.

Tested with 4.11-3 and also Glorious Eggroll's Proton-4.15-GE-2. Both perform flawlessly. Gameplay is smooth, sound perfect, graphics options all appear to work. Alt-Tab works normally, steam overlay works normally. Other than the usual "DirectX is installing" rubbish when you hit play for the first time after installing, this feels like a completely native game.

On Proton it works out of the box with DXVK (D3D11 to Vulkan translation). Tested with RADV and the new Mesa ACO compiler on Plasma Wayland.

The game runs a bit jerky during level loading, but that could due to the game itself. "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%" seems to help a bit.

Worked perfectly with no tweaks needed.

Works OOTB! Only issue I had was alt tabbing would sometimes not lock the mouse to the movement. But alt-tabbing again would fix it.

Works out of the box on Ubuntu MATE 18.04.2 LTS. Game is playable on 4K resolution with medium settings using an RX 580 8GB. See game play video here --> https://youtu.be/pFoB7t7Uczw?t=80

Just works! Only issue that I had was alt tabbing and loosing mouse control when tabbing back. This only happened once and I was not able to reproduce the issue.

Tested under Arch Linux on 2019-07-04 and works flawlessly with Proton 4.2.
For those of you getting the DirectX 11 feature 10 required error, this is how to fix it:
- cd ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Proton 4.2 (or whatever your latest Proton version is)
- cp user_settings.sample.py user_settings.py
- Now edit user_settings.py with your favorite editor
- Uncomment the line: "PROTON_USE_WINED3D": "1", (remove the # at the beginning of the line)
As that line's description says, it forces OpenGL-based wined3d for d3d11 and d3d10 instead of Vulkan-based DXVK
I have an AMD Radeon R9 290 and I'm now able to play this game at 1080p @ 60 FPS.
Hope this helps someone!

Absolutely flawless. No need to tweak anything. Performance is also great! If I didn't know better, I'd think this game has native support.

Minor stutters here and there, but other than that no issues so far.

Works out of the box on Ubuntu MATE 18.04.2 LTS. Total play time of 4 hours.

Everything works fine, though stutter is common in situations involving new units, and during level/unit loading. This effect is similar to the methods that get Overwatch working in Linux.

The game itself runs perfectly fine. However, I have been unable to invite or join friends in multiplayer from ingame. There is a workaround to join a friend: Have said friend invite you BEFORE you startup the game and accept their invitation through steam. The game will startup and go straight to their game and will work perfectly fine after this.

There are some audio issues that can be fixed by installing xact to the game prefix via winetricks (...steamapps/compatdata/574090/pfx/). Nvidia card users experiencing poor frame rates can use the AMD spoof workaround to improve performance (https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamPlay/comments/9m18ck/troubleshooting_performance/).

Worked directly by just installing and running the game. No tweaks required. Performance seems a bit bad but still perfectly enjoyable. Tested playing the first few missions.

Fails to launch, 'DX11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engine.' message given before closing.
