Game runs perfectly out of the box on deck, max graphics settings, looks pretty good as well for it's age. Battery lasts 3-4 hours.

Works well
Make sure the resolution is right (1280x800) and you're in fullscreen when you first boot the game. You can use high textures.

Blocky shadows in some scenes.
Occasionally crashed at certain parts using other versions of Proton.
I did not experience crashing using Proton 5.13-6

Blocky shadows
Savegame is being deleted if you change the Proton version
Crashes at 4th chapter of Episode 1.
Save game is lost sometimes after crashes
Guaranteed crashes at certain points.
Shadows were blocky and not smooth
Constant stuttering
Had to use proton 5.13-6 otherwise I was unable to finish episode 2 without it crashing
Downside is shadows look messed up but using proton 4.11-13 can fix that
Every time a video played or slight action started the game would stutter every few seconds even with the frame rate locked at 30 and 40 fps
In the end it's only just playable if you can handle the issues you'll enjoy the game
Refresh rate to 40 Hz.
The shadows aren't being displayed correctly (you see dark squares instead of proper shadows).
Cloud saves seem to be disabled. Switching to another Proton version makes you lose your progress. Be sure to back up your save files. The path is: /steamapps/compatdata/330830/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/Telltale Games/Tales from the Borderlands.
As reported previously the game crashed in the beginning of chapter 4 of episode 1 using the Proton version suggested by Steam. That's why I changed it to 5.13, and I was able to finish the game without a problem.
While switching to an older Proton version is trivial, it can result in losing your progress unless you make a backup beforehand. Hence the current Playable rating is misguiding.
Some shadows are glitching but nothing game breaking
While switching from the latest Proton to Proton 5.13-6 to fix the crash, the game save moved, I needed to go to desktop mode and move my current save to the other empty save folder (I used FSearch to find both game folders)
The game crashes at the 4th chapter of the first episode with the latest Proton 7.0-3, I needed to switch to Proton version 5.13-6 to fix it
To avoid the game save folder issue, launch the game for the first time with Proton 5.13-6 and don't change back to any other version (otherwise you'll have to restart the story or move the save in desktop mode).
