Almost flawless experience
To my knowledge and memory, I encountered only three minor bugs, and no other type of bugs (total playtime ~45hours according to the game save file. Yes, I’m slow).
- When placing air pipes, I had no preview of where the pipe would actually be placed. Saved&exited, then loaded back, and the bug was gone (happened once)
- Apparently there is one aggressive fish in particular that is supposed to do something interesting (was the first time I played this game, but I was streaming it to a friend), but it didn’t do anything to me (was still not doing anything after reload)
- I had an issue with my oxygen bar, which was not going down (happened once). Same as with air pipes, Save&exit then loading back fixed the issue. I am not entirely sure what triggered it, and the clue I have would be spoilers, so I’ll just leave it at that
Other than that, very good experience, and very good game. I might give below zero a go
In case you’re wondering why it doesn’t show I own the game, I think it’s because I have it in my steam family, but don’t personally own it

Work perfectly no slowdown, crashes or anything after playing for 9 hrs on Linux. Only a minor graphical bug on mouse cursor texture. Default proton is enough but would recommend GE-Proton10-1

Impression de désynchronisation de suivi de l'image à l'oeil même en jouant avec le flou de mouvement et la V-Sync activé. On a l'impression de ne pas être fluide à l'oeil.
Je compte bientôt en faire une vidéo plus détaillée pour ceux qui préfèrent un guide visuel. Voici les étapes en bref de Nitrox et jouer en multijoueur sur Linux. Ah oui et je suis dans un cas assez rare mais je joue bien au jeu en triple screen sous linux.
- Installez Subnautica sur Steam (version officielle).
- Téléchargez Nitrox.exe et lancez-le avec Wine ou Proton (ex. GE-Proton9-27).
- Installez Hamachi & Haguichi, créez un réseau privé et partagez le nom du serveur.
- Configurez Nitrox en sélectionnant le chemin vers Subnautica.exe.
- Ouvrez le port 11000 dans le terminal : sudo ufw allow 11000/tcp
- Lancez Nitrox, créez le serveur, puis ouvrez Subnautica. L'hôte rejoint d'abord, l'ami suit.
Tout fonctionne parfaitement malgré les quelques ralentissement à l'oeil et les différents bug de désynchro en ligne. (Arrive souvent après avoir passer un obstacle au sol que votre ami ne voit pas)

The cursor is slightly corrupted, but that's pretty much it when it comes to graphical problems.
I used GE-Proton7-55, but that won't matter too much as it didn't seem to make much of a difference to me between that version and Proton 9. I played from start to finish and it was pretty much flawless.

This game definitely is steamdeck ready, runs like native on Linux and might even be better than Windows. As for the launch options its best to set the CPU topology to the amount of cores your CPU has to get better multi-threading performance out of this game and eliminate any stuttering.

Overall, performance was poor but ok (but wiht gamemode). The swimming though was so bad and laggy I couldn't play

I'm completely astonished by the fact that the ONLY game i have seen publicly giving linux support is the worst game that runs on linux from my library.
It works well. I play it with just a small tinkering: Feral Gamemode and Custom Proton (Proton GE). That's all.

Small performance loss compared to Windows with same hardware and game settings, but really not much.
Overall the game runs fine. There's a small performance loss compared to Windows, but it really isn't significant. About 45 FPS min and 80 max (depends on the area in the game) with medium-high settings, Gamemode and Proton GE 9-21 on my 10 years old hardware.
The game plays great. I'm having a great time playing this for the first time.
I get audio crackling from time to time, apart from that, it runs great and gamers will enjoy the gaming experience on Linux

Freezing in fullscreen issue was not present in proton 7.0-6, but that version had stuttering issues
I think the freezing may have something to do with the custom cursor the game uses
