Works Natively in Linux, no Proton needed.
This is a 32-bit Program, so if you need other programs, like mangohud, to work with it, you will need the lib32 version of those packages/etc.

Game runs great through default proton
There is also a native Linux port that appears to work great as well. This report was made to show proton compatibility.
Pristine experience

A fun little metroidvania game with a decent replay value
Works fine out of the box, no tinkering required.
gamemoderun %command%

Native build that runs perfectly
I was able to play the game to completion - amazing experience on Linux desktop

Lowered TDP to less than 5w and 60Hz
If you lower TDP you can play for 8h on SD Oled
Beat game with zero issues

Played the whole game on the Deck. Not much to say, game runs flawlessly and its made for gamepads. The map may be a bit small but its readable.

The game plays flawlessly but be aware that (at least) some of the achievements will not unlock without an active Internet connection. I was playing on an airplane and found out the hard way. Every other single-player game I've played on the Deck does not have this problem, so I thought I should mention it.

It runs smooth out of the box on Proton
Game seems to run fine with mouse and keyboard, but couldn't be played with the PS4 Controller because it wasn't detected.
PS4 Controller wasn't detected on Native. Tried all manner of tricks, from enabling different controllers on Steam big picture, disabling and forcing the steam input on the controller tab of the game settings and even modifying the controller layout, but nothing seemed to work.
if you are a bit tight on disk space, i recommend installing the linux version of the game, only issue is that cloud saves between linux and window versions dont seem to be compatible, so you wont be able to carry over your progress

The native version plays pretty good. I've completed the entire game.
Controller hotplug doesn't work with the native version. So you either start the game with the controller connected ot it won't be recognized later. Once also the controller battery ended, and I tried to connect a different one while in game without sucess.
Runs natively. Perfect Linux port.
Lowering TDP to 5W, enabling variable-rate shading, FSR, and 30FPS cap can get you 5-7 hours of playtime on a full charge. 60FPS can get you 4-5 hours of playtime with the previous settings.
- 60FPS, 30 if you want to save the most battery
- Graphics are fine ( It is a 2D game )
- Controller config works perfectly with no tweaking needed.
I set the TDP to 3W and it was still able to maintain a steady 60 FPS.
Works without any problems
A very simple to play game with easy to use controls makes it a great game to play on the steam deck with 0 compatibility issues.
Default proton doesn't seem to recognize any of the deck controls. GE works OOTB
