Running with GE-Proton9-27 gives a noticable increase in smoothness and stability. It also alows us to bump up some visual settings while maintaining a stable 60 FPS, even in online matches.
In-game Settings:
Full Screen
Resolution = 1280 x 720
V-Sync = ON
- believe it or not, this lowers the input latency. I know, I didn't beleive it at first either.
Render Scale = 100
Dynamic Resolution = OFF
Anti-Aliasing = TAA
Anti-Aliasing Quality = Medium
Motion Blur = Medium
- This is a setting that a lot of people would like to disable in most games but it really does make this game easier on the eyes. Very noticable on the train stage.
Texture Quality = High
All other settings should be OFF or Low.
Runs Great
Out of the box

runs purrfectly dude, at least in Proton Experimental ... no need to do some more tinkering because everything works fine, but maybe you want to change some graphic setting according to your hardware capability.

Just swapped rev to be L1, and feint to be R1.
Overall, the game runs pretty well on steam deck. The game will automatically set the graphics to low. Unfortunately, increasing the graphics causes the game to drop below 60 fps, but on low graphics you get a steady 60 fps. The low graphics aren't really that low anyways; they still look solid.

All the graphics are set to low automatically by the game when you first launch it. Although I haven't tested higher graphics yet, the automatic settings give a good 60 fps for most of the time.

A cool fighting game that runs perfectly fine out of the box!
Game runs perfectly out of the box.

Had to use experimental for the game to run, but once changed the game runs flawlessly

Works great without any tinkering
Absolutely no issues spotted during gameplay

Works great
Works without any issues, matchmaking and netcode works as expected, start of the story mode works without problems

Had extreme difficulty making this work despite people in the cotw discord saying it worked pretty easily for them. Between different versions of proton(both older and newer than what eventually worked) and launch options the only thing that worked was GE-Proton7-49 with force_vk_vendor=-1, which apparently tells the game that I do not have an intel gpu even though I do. Turned down resolution scaling in the game settings to make it run better, since that's the main setting that tends to affect performance with my gpu for some reason. Not great performance but it's exactly the performance I'd expect of my computer.
Played the Open Beta - no issues running on Linux, no tinkering done.
Works flawlessly
Open beta running perfectly OOTB
Played multiple matches online and ran through the tutorial. Excellent performance.

Works pretty good

i can't believe the online work, considering this game is not release yet and still in beta. usually in the past when a new game comes out (e.g. Tekken 8) you need to wait a few months in order for games to be playable online.
well with proton experimental, the game launch and plays normally. I didn't test other proton version though, since i always use proton experimental by default.
Played in a lobby with my friend, worked flawlessly.
