100's of hours no issue at all

text too small
Playable and stable

I think the newer nVidia driver (570.133.07) fixed any issues reported by the previous reporter - I've been playing only since this version driver came out and had no issues. Besides, I knew the game runs on Linix before

Works like on windows
It does have a bit longer loading times, but not really unusually long.

Unreasonably low fps
Had to switch to Proton 8.0-5 because 9 and experimental had about a third of the fps, strangely it runs OK at first but after a restart it gets this terrible performance.

After you have lots of cars and building on the map the game start to lag a lot after you save, but when you restart it runs fine.
After save or autosave, the game starts to lag a lot.

Works flawlessly OOTB with maybe a crash after long time of non-stop playing
After playing for a long time non-stop (many hours!), the game may suddenly become slow and sluggish and then typically crashes (closes). Maybe a memory overflow bug. Not sure if Linux-related at all, haven't played this on Windows much before switching over to Linux. A simple re-start from last autosave and everything is fine again.
Note: I'm running Linux Mint Cinnamon Edition ("Virgina 21.3" with Edge-/HWE-Kernel), using Pipewire as a PulseAudio drop-in replacement. This has solved some audio problems in the past, related to Wine/Proton gaming.
Runs perfectly out of the box with no issues.
Just runs out of the box.

Run flawlessly in steam/proton.
Very good game and perfect proton's experience !
Works Perfectly w/ Proton

Work just perfect as far sa i can tell.

Less problems since the last update of the game
Seems to crash sometime when saving.
Some occasionally slowdown
Works great out of the box
Works perfectly fine to have lots of fun
slight lag when zoomed out on an advanced save game
limited to 30 fps in steam UI, turned off anti-alias, lowered shadows to medium.
Needed to switch to GE-Proton otherwise the new "Update 1" release of Captain crashes when you ask it to save game. Possibly Proton Experimental would be fine but at least on 6/1/2023 the stock valve Proton is no good. GE-Proton is perfect though.
Switching to 2nd monitor when in full screen crashed the game (hung, needed killing). Changed to Borderless and no more issues.
Use Borderless rather than full screen.
gamemoderun %command%
Windowed and Fullscreen changes were buggy but after trying a few times it worked
Ended up refunding the game but I see some mixed reports for this game so wanted to mark that it worked good for me with the current build
I use my laptop display and HP docking station (the big) with two external displays. The primary Display is left on the first external display. I can only play on the middle display in windowed mode.
assets disappear on map exit - no effect on gameplay
Small reduction in fps vs windows on same machine - still playable
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
DirectX11 errors without launch options.
Failed to initialize player Failed to initialize graphics. Make sure you have DirectX11 installed... InitializeEngineGraphics failed
PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%
Doesn't start anymore with latest game patch
With latest patch, that I installed today, the game doesn't launch anymore.
Failed to initialize graphics.
Make sure you have DirectX 11 installed, have up to date
drivers for your graphics card and have not disabled
3D acceleration in display settings.
InitializeEngineGraphics failed
Runs flawlessly
Works perfectly
Tutorial had some issues
Missing textures in tutorial. Annoying but not gamebreaking
Runs well, but it would not run on my secondary drive, which does work with other games. Moved it and it now runs great.

Need to configure steam to use proton (steam -> settings -> Steam Play -> Enable Steam Play for all other titles), then off you go!
Doesn't Start
It either gets stuck on "Preparing to launch" or gets through prepare to launch and then quits after the cloud sync. I've tried enable logging via PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
but there was nothing obvious in the logs.

Tutorial Videos glitching. Otherwise everything is fine.
Quite long loading times
A small graphical glitch in one of the tutorial sections, but unclear if that was due to proton or early access.
This does work with borderless
