I've only played around two hours so far but everything is running perfectly well. I've used the recommended steam os meetings from Steamdeck HQ (mostly 30FPS limit) and put everything on high.

Ran flawlessly "out of the box"
No tinkering needed, ran flawlessly "out of the box"

The cutscenes are broken on GE-Proton9-25 at least, if using GE go for GE-Proton8-X.

work fine with Steam provided Proton
If you're seeing a CRT test screen as the main menu background and like me are using GE Proton, switch to Steam's Proton, otherwise you'll miss some cutscenes.

The game seems to default the resolution to something way higher than the Steam Deck's resolution with no direct way to set it manually other than adjusting the resolution scaling. This causes a significant performance hit, leading to sub-24 fps even on low settings. I was able to fix this by setting the resolution scale to 50% (there was no noticeable visual difference), and the performance improved drastically. I'm able to play on medium settings and get 40-50 fps with minimal drops.

Several video cutscenes (including the main menu background, but also story relevant stuff) was rendered as a good ol' crt test image for a second or so instead of playing the video.

This is based on roughly the content that the demo covered (but in the final release version.)
The game defaults to Very High graphics, which run at about 30fps. I've changed it to everything on High except Shadows to Medium, and can get a locked 45fps, while having the game look great.
