Some objects sometimes have a white outline. It's easy to ignore.
Crashed two or three times in the ~40 hours playthrough
The game is slow to start up. Spends several minutes on the rotating stream logo. Once it's past this stage, runs with no significant issues.

After some time in an area, there is a stutter every few sefonds. Seems to be due to VRAM overflow (game settings report about 7GiB used, and mongo 8.2G). Other works fine with default settings.
Seems to crash after every second zone loaded after the first one. Hopefully, there is an autosave just before this.

Crashes on loading, sometimes gets stuck on server connection. Second one gets "fixed" by starting the game offline

protonge 8-9 would not start even in desktop mode just a blank screen. Was able to boot game from current default proton from desktop. Launched from from steam os the 2nd time to test. All frame limiter options off in steam os. Limited framerate to 50fps 1152:720 resolution 16:10 aspect ratio within the game, all settings on low except overall texture quality on medium and antialiasing on taa very high quality. I disabled all upscaling and disabled fsr2. Game ran consistently 50 fps and looked great! Game did take long to boot.

First run on desktop mode. No FPS limit on SteamOS. Screen refresh rate 60. Quick load if you disable internet connection (after first run).
TDP 9
All low
No VSync
In-game 40 Hz refresh rate
Occasional crashes when you leave a zone.
With no internet connection I didn't have this problem.
First run should be on desktop mode. Don't change refresh rate or FPS on SteamOS.
The game delays a lot when you start it from steam, be patient.
Single player game is recommended. Improved load times and stability if you disable internet.
Would not load in SteamOS. Stuck on Steam logo spinning.
Only way I was able to get it to work is by aborting the game in steamOS, disabling the steam OS frame limiter and launching it through desktop mode. Once I did that I was able to boot up the game, no problem.

FSR 2.0 performance, vsync off, fps limit 50, steam refresh rate 50
Frequent crashes when loading levels, either stuck in signing in to Bethesda or steam deck crash
Refresh rate to 40 Hz.
This game seems quite heavy for the Deck. It takes a while to load, and there are occasional FPS drops too.
While it's not as smooth as I would have liked it to be, it's still playable. Especially if you lower the settings.
Disabled Gamescope Frame Limiter
Steam Deck Frame Limiter will cause slow loading
Battery life for me was 1 hour and 40 minutes. This was on all low settings, FSR 2.0 Performance Adaptive Resolution, at 60 FPS
Deathloop runs great, I played at all low and with FSR 2.0 Adaptive Resolution at performance. It's a good idea to disable the gamescope frame limiter. While at 60fps framelimiting the load times are a bit slow, the average person may not notice. If you are to reduce the framlimiter to 40fps, the load times ballon. Just use the built in framelimiter in the game. The game runs about 60 fps most of the time, with large action scenes mainly at 50fps (can be as low as 40 fps). Game used to crash when multitasking, but it seems to be fixed. I also had no issues putting the Steamdeck to sleep
Deathloop is known for having issues on PC. Issues like VRam memory leaks, choppy audio, choppy frames and random crashing. Same issues persist here. On top of that though this game loves to hard crash reboot the Steam Deck even with the FPS limiter disabled. Definitely do not recommend this game!
Ok so i know about the issue with restricting the refreshrate. I'm not doing that. But most times when i run the game it crashes hard whilst loading the level.
Have to forcefully turn the deck off to get back up and running.
Note that I have had it running a couple of times previously, but both times it hard crashed at various points similar to above. (have tried different protons)
Works great out of the box, but avoid using the Steam Deck's built in FPS/refresh rate limiters and play offline to avoid long load times
Cap FPS at 40 in game, set Refresh Rate to 40Hz on Steam Deck. DO NOT CAP FPS IN STEAM DECK SETTINGS.
If you set a Steam Deck FPS limit in the performance settings on the Deck, loading will slow to a crawl.
Whatever you do, do not set an FPS Limit on the Steam Deck Performance settings, use the In Game setting to cap frame rate. If you don't the loading screen will take ages... To the point it seems to have crashed.
FSR 2.0 works very well.
Can't get in-game at all, it keeps loading forever and if it eventually loads at all, it freezes and you can't play the game.

Inconsistent frame times are a problem but it runs acceptable for a touchpad controlled shooter on lowest settings.
Default mapping of touchpad click to kicking leads to a lot of unintntional kicks when looking around quickly
Usually drops to 40fps even at lowest quality settings. I'm seeing similar framerate inconsistencies on my desktop system ( RX 6900XT, Ryzen 3950x, Manjaro/KDE 21.2.6) while it runs very stable on Win 10 on the same hardware.
yes changed defaults to medium ingame fsr to balanced disable taa, change refresh to 40hz. Now I get 12w and nearly 3hours battery time.
Some of the text is hard to read and I used the steam + L1 magnifier to read it more easily
The game won't load if the framerate limitter is enabled. Need to make sure its turned off before loading the game. Use the ingame one instead.
Need tyo fix framerate limitter issue. othewise users will assume game is broken
As long as you don't use the sleep feature, I guess it is ok... But for me it is a pain... And also starting the game takes like forever...
Before 25th April steam deck update, the game was crashing very often. Since then I disable the framerate limitation and didn't see any crash yet... However, deal breaker for me, the game constantly crash when the deck get out of sleep. Need to relaunch it from scratch...
Game frequently crashes leading to lost progress. After Steam Deck standby it crashes without saving too.
Vsync had no effect, so I disabled it and used the frame limiter option
During gameplay a error window pops up frequently for a few seconds but I could continue playing. Only when I wanted to end the map and save the game froze and did not save.l
Steam deck sleep freeze's the game and requires to close it
Game itself plays great but crashes lead to lost progress.
