Had to pick the 8.0.5 version of proton in the Compatibility menu, but that was it.
It works flawlessly regardless of your vsync settings, so even though you can't change them easily it's fine.
Toggle to Vsync settings in the launcher requires F4 to be pressed, which is not very easy on Deck.

Right out of the box
No issues seen
I finished the whole game using a Bluetooth controller. I experienced no issues at all playing through this.
While the game was running I got the PID of the winserver process with ps aux
. Then I raised the number of allowed open file descriptors using sudo prlimit --pid 12345 --nofile=2000000:2000000
. Then I was able to play for a couple of hours without the game crashing.
Regular crashes, save often.
Controller is only detected if I first open the game config in steam and disable-enable controller support, and then start the game. One time the controller stopped responding during gameplay, but it got back again after waiting about a minute. Keyboard always works.
Game always crashes after a while because the wineserver process get too many open file descriptors. That is more than 524288 on my setup.
Very low FPS levels(below 12 fps)
Startup resolution select menu messed up, but everything else appeared fine.
The bootup menu (where you select resolution and vsync) were screwed up for me.
Proton-6.21-GE-2
8BitDo Pro 2 controller only works in XBOX (X-input) mode which I believe isn't mapped correctly because it just doesn't feel right(I don't know if it's actually correct or not.). I'd prefer to play with my controller in D-input which feels correct. B to jump, A to attack, Y for bow, X for special. However, stock Proton 6.3.7 doesn't detect the controller in D-input mode, so I have to use Proton-6.21-GE-2 to get that feature working. HOWEVER, using THAT fork of proton seems to make the game unstable as it crashes after about an hour of game play.
Back to desktop every now and then.
Aside from a single crash I had no issue finishing the game.
The game crashed for me once during my 8 hour playthrough.
This was my first non-Steam OS game I got to work on my Linux machine. It installed perfectly running Proton 6.3-5.
Runs just fine now, after I switched from Mint to Pop! OS
Launch menu shows up, but upon picking full screen, the game becomes unresponsive
No tweaking was necessary to run and no issues after a few hours of game play.

Basically runs flawlessly - no issues running the final release of the game.
Game persistently wants to start on the left-most, not main, monitor in fullscreen - easy to transfer it back, though.
Works perfectly.I have not get any issue.
Works great out of box.
Game installs, but will not launch. CLI shows it's looking for a VR folder before crashing.
white window, unresponsive
Works great out of the box
Works out of the box with no noticeable flaws.

Didn't work in my pc
Its supposed to run flawlessly in linux and to be a low requirements game but it seems to need to have installed Dxvk in your system, which is not an option for my good old GPU.
Runs perfectly out of the box.
Please bear in mind that as of today (2020-05-02), it's still an early access demo worth less than an hour of content.
