With the default compatibility, "Steam Linux runtime 1.0 (scout)", the game fails to launch. I tried various Proton versions, but either the game wouldn't launch or there were serious graphics issues. Setting the compatibility to "Legacy runtime 1.0" did the trick. The game runs smoothly with excellent graphics.

Works perfectly
Proton causes slowdowns and visual degredation for me, so native is definitely the way to go. Seems to work perfectly. Can't get it to run at a consistent 120 FPS, but that's probably just a hardware and/or Early Access issue more than anything. Runs at a perfect 60 FPS.
Works like acharm out of the box. No tinkering needed
This is a really fun game. It's still in early access, and only v0.2 as of this post, so lots still to come
A few spots where audio randomly cut out, but very minor
Works great!
Switched to 40refresh 40fps
Text is slightly too small for me. Could do with options for the size.
Slight artifacts on one of the building flags is all I have seen
Works just fine, very playable. Doesn't appear to report playtime properly in Steam.

Game supports native and works great, I just use Proton for everything - and again, works great.

- Dpad Up/Left/Down for Build/Harvest/Research menus, respectively
- Left Trackpad as Touch Menu (Touch Release) for keyboard shortcuts 1-6
- Left Joystick touch as Shift (for building multiple structures)
Capped to 30fps (optional, runs well at 60)
Tutorial tips and UI is too small to be read comfortably but using the magnifier helps
Occasional frame drops at 800p@60, locked 60 with FSR on

Works OOTB
Intro video does not render correctly, otherwise everything does.
Runs quite well, no tinkering required

I played the demo for an hour. The full game is not out yet. Promising performance so far.
The game works great, I didn't experience any issues!

Demo version works great except for video playback issue
Intro video file playback was corrupted every time I played it. I'm assuming it's a problem with videos in general for the title but I only saw the one video.
