Changed controller support to "Steam Input". Game did not register any input from Xbox Series X Controller with default settings.
Worked fine after changing controller support to "Steam Input".
At launch a popup appears, taking focus, interrupting the launch and warning about the installed version of the AMD graphics driver having known issues. When launching the game through big picture mode when streaming this is quite annoying as it's tricky to close the popup and continue. I did not expierience any issues with the drivers either.
Wait until the audio issues are resolved.
No environmental audio with either 5.1 or stereo. Others suggested adding --launcher-skip to launch options. This did not work for me.
Alt-Tab is a nightmare. Was unable to escape the games focus and could not control it afterwards either. Alt-F4ing the game was the only option to regain control over my pc.
Multiplayer features are essential to this game, they do not work.
Game forces focus back on itself. Was unable to even login into my account as that is done in a popup window. Alt+Enter to switch to window-mode allowed entering my accounts credentials.
The horrendous way they force everything through xbox online makes it impossible to play with friends, send invites or receive invites.
Can not invite friends at all.
Had to increase /proc/sys/vm/max_map_count
as mentioned in [https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/6510#issuecomment-1422699309] with sudo sysctl vm.max_map_count=1000000
and echo "vm.max_map_count = 1000000" | sudo tee -a /etc/sysctl.conf
to fix an issue where the game crashed frequently during loading screens.
Proton-5.9-GE-8-ST GloriousEggroll
Sometimes crashes when loading new areas. Always save before doing that and you'll be fine.
Next-Gen Update broken
--launcher-skip
Crashed after first cutscene. I was really hyped for the update and enjoyed almost 200hours of this game on proton. :/
