Enable this environtmental variables on launcher params: PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1

Running in wayland
without any perceptible problem (from Fedora).
After an hour or two of playing game crashes. Seems an AMD GPU driver problem, I've seen this behaviour before in Valheim on linux through Steam.
It's just a matter of texture loading. Seems like polygons without it's texture.
Blurry textures or not being loaded 100%.
Proton version works even better than native's. I noticed in native's you cannot quit the game by clicking Confirm, but in proton's yes.
if you want to get it translated to an unofficial language you will have to run it with Proton and execute regedit
with wine in a terminal like this:
env WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/300550/pfx wine regedit
In my case it was spanish so added this string key:
"Settings.Language_h2828946908"="ES"
Not running at all in Native, works in Proton but crashes with Directx 12
I got this game in Epic Games Store and it worked out of the box flawlessly (I could play single and multiplayer for hours without any glitch or error) in Directx12 option.
I recently bought the game with all dlc's for steam and it sucks a lot. Native doesn't even launch, neither with the eval $( echo "%command%" | sed "s/2KLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe'.*/Base\/Binaries\/Win64Steam\/CivilizationVI.exe'/" )
nor with “LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libfreetype.so.6 %command%”
workarounds.
Proton 6.3-6 works but it crashes if played with Directx12.
Seems to go fine playing through Directx11 instead, at least.
Little bit unintuitive installation at first glance, but luckly there's lot of comments in here to help you out :)
To avoid "not enough free space" problem: PROTON_SET_GAME_DRIVE=1 %command%
The game interface before actually you're playing the game is a little bit chunky sometimes, but that's not something a well-pressed Enter key may fix. While logged in and playing there's no problem at all.
Playing at 100fps on KDE-Plasma (wayland)
Works out of the box in Native mode
Tested with Steam native over Wayland and KDE Plasma. Works with joystick too (EasySMX Wireless Controller)
