On the first launch of the game the audio was extremely loud and cracking to the point of discomfort. However restarting the game fixed the audio, though some sound effects cause a similar cracking noise albeit not uncomfortably loud.
The resolution had black bars on first startup and defaulted to 640x480. Changing this resolution in the main menu fixed some black bars, if any bars were still left turning vsync on than back off fixed the remaining black bars.
I used the silent patch and used it both for stability and changed the fps cap from 30 to 60.
This game should be steamdeck Playable rather than Unsupported
Very playable and enjoyable.
Alt-Tabbing was a nightmare, if you alt tabbed out of the game it would almost try to fight you trying to tab back in, I'm not sure how else to describe it, bash your head against the wall getting alt tab to work or play in Windowed.
Made my layout entirely from scratch, there is no controller support. The game is very simple so this is a minimal inconvenience.
Great way to learn Gyro on the Steam Deck.
Works as native if not better.
Using the Dualsense Edge (NOT THE REGULAR DUALSENSE) THE FINALS will detect it as an Xbox controller, meaning you can not use Gyro controls. This is a Steam problem and not game specific, but its something to consider.
One of the few Easy Anti-cheat games that support Linux.
This is playable but not enjoyable on Steam Deck. The frame times and constant stutters in game make it impossible to compete.
Very bad frame times even on the lowest settings.
This game ran better on my devices in previous seasons. It seems that all platforms (Console, Windows and Linux) are all experiencing poor performance, if the developers look to fix these performance issues then this game will be more than playable on Steam deck.
The game used to run just fine on Linux, something seriously wrong caused the game for me and many other linux players to now not be able to compete.
While using a controller my operating system would enable its screensaver despite me actively playing the game.
The Finals performs perfectly now on Linux as it once did.
Anti-cheat update makes the game unplayable on Linux.
Update 5.6 on Jan. 22 had an Anti-cheat update that causes the game to close on the EAC prompt. This is believed to be due to the developers in-house anti-cheat solution and not EAC.
