mouse position registers as about 15-20% further down than actual. This does not hinder the game but menus are near unusable
Switch to proton working menus

The tinkering was just to remove the launcher and start the superior dx11 executable
Since you can no longer find this game on steam, there is more tinkering required to get it to work, especially so on Linux.

Proton ignores dll overrides by default, use protontricks winecfg override library loading for winhttp to "native, builtin" to allow FuserSongLoader to do its thing when placed in the directory of the exe. May need to reapply this setting if proton updates.

Native is a pretty notorious downgrade. Firaxis dropped Aspyr to make their own native Linux build for Civlization 7
