Perfect experience OOTB
I've 100% the ( base ) game from start to finish ( ~170 hours ). No glitches, no slow downs, no crashes.
Doesn't work; keeps freshing my DE
Crysis 1 Remastered worked just fine. Crysis 2 Remastered, on the other hand, does not. Whenever I change a setting the game freezes, and eventually freezes my DE too. I cannot play it.
I've played the game from start to finish, and I've 100%'ed it. No crashes, no slow downs, no glitches.
PROTON_USE_DXVK=1 DXVK_ASYNC=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%
It works just fine as long as you put the above mentioned launch options. I've played most of the game just fine.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" is only needed if you want to install the gold filter restoration mod ( which uses the asi loader ).
gamemoderun DXVK_FRAME_RATE=100 %command%
Remembr to limit the FPS to 100, otherwise there'll be some physics bugs ( unrelated to Proton of course ).
Played it from start to finish. Zero issues, zero lags, zero crashes.
Buggy mouse on Hyprland
The mouse seems to skip and be generally unusable on Hyprland. The same does not happen on Gnome, though.
It seems to work mostly out of the box. If you happen to get a pop up saying "Assertion failed", especially if you're on Nvidia afaik, just select Proton Hotfix. That got me into the game and I haven't had issues so far.
Playable and all. Slightly annoying for the crashes. In ~5 hours, it crashes once or twice.
SteamDeck=1 %command%
Once in a while it crashes in-game, and it's pretty annoying especially if you're in a comp. Also, disable gpu-screen-recorder, that makes it crash even more frequently
SteamDeck=1 %command%
If you're crashing once in a while, DISABLE Nvidia Reflex. That will fix basically all of the crashes you're experiencing.
Once in a while ( rarely ) it'll seem like the game has frozen, but it's just temporary. It's the game's issue.
Avoid alt tabbing too much just in case.
Works perfectly out of the box from start to finish
I've played from start to finish, and I've 100%'ed the game. No issues. Perfectly playable.
The game itself, on the other hand... don't play it please.
At the start of the game when it's raining, you can see some missing texture-like artifacts on the some water drops ( purple ). I didn't see it anymore after that. I can't tell whether it was because I changed some graphical settings or it happens just at the start.
I've played it with ALMOST maxed out settings, including ray tracing. The performance was fine. Once in a while, generally only in a specific room, where the FPS would heavily drop, but apart from that it was perfectly fine and playable from start to finish.
Perfect experience OOTB
No tinkering had to be done. It booted straight away, and I finished the game without experiencing any bugs, crashes or stutters.
Perfect experience out of the box
There were certain sections where the FPS stutters a lot. But apart from that, the FPS is pretty good and stable.
Played it from start to finish. Perfectly playable.
game-performance %command%
100%'ed the game. No graphical artifacts, glitches or whatever. Perfect experience.
Played it from start to finish without any issues.
At the end of the game I was seeing some misplaced depth of field ( blur ) on some scenes. Only a handful, nothing that would hinder the game enjoyability.
