Game doesn't launch at all. Tried basically every version of proton.
Launched and crashed immediately
Tried Proton 5.09, 5.11-GE-5-MF, and 5.9-GE-5-ST. None got past a brief black screen before crashing. Tried "radv" launch options listed below in other reviews with no luck.
Could launch and get to title screen with GloriousEggroll-5.8-MF but then the game froze. Couldn't start playing.
Still can only get to title screen then the game freezes.
Tried both Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF and Proton-5.9-GE-5-ST.
canonly play with keyboard as of Proton 5.0.9
Logitech F710 Gamepads not detected. Game forced keyboard + mouse controls.
Steam controller custom mapping was not detected. Rendered game unplayable from couch.
mf-install helps but doesn't fix it entirely
Out of the box, I could load the splash screen but after that got a black screen. After following begepotam's helpful instructions for applying mf-install to Proton I could play the opening cutscene 50% of the time, but then still got a black screen after.
Game ran fine, but the save game issue is a deal breaker. I'll try again at some point and see if it's fixed or was a fluke.
Launches out of full screen even when the game thinks full screen is set. Toggling resolution in the games settings fixes.
First time I exited and reloaded it worked fine. Second time my save game appeared corrupted, with the date last played listed as 0/0/0, and would not load.
