With the new Proton 5.0-1. It makes the game "play-able" but there is a bug preventing it being a flawless experience
Crouching as batman will crash the game.
Game freezes when you click play and the 'Day 1' screen shows up. Did not try any tinkering.
The game can crash at any moment, Every time I've launched it the game has crashed.
Did 'protontricks 1151340 faudio' to fix the audio.
During the process of creating a character the game will crash. Putting 'WINEDLLOVERRIDES=winedbg.exe=d %command%' in your game's launch options will prevent the crash.
Vsync is on by default which makes your mouse input feel sluggish. Open 'Fallout76Prefs.ini' under '... /steamapps/compatdata/1151340/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/My Games/Fallout 76/' and change 'iPresentInterval=1' to 'iPresentInterval=0'
The game creates a save when you first start the game, but it does not save anything past that.
Not 100% same performance as windows, but that's given.
Have not tested much into the cause, but something causes the frame-rate to drop around half until restarting the game. Does not occur that often though.
Proton-6.19-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Used Proton-6.19-GE-2 to get the game working.
From what i can guess EAC is successfully running through proton.
The opening credits when you create a character was bugged, only showed a white screen for me, But i was able to skip it by pressing esc.

Makes me sign in every time i start up the game.
Have not tested it personally but i heard voice chat may not be fully working
Best to use atleast Proton 5.13-1 and above, auto login now works after the first login, Voice chat still does not work.
