Runs great on Linux
When using borderless, sometimes the game window is slightly bigger than the screen, cutting off the top part. Clicking "Apply" on the resolution settings without changing anything fixes this
For people facing the NVIDIA/Wayland VRAM leak, I suggest turning the textures to Medium. Looks exactly the same, but uses way less VRAM. Turning off Distance AO is a performance saver as well. Vulkan and DX11 perform the same, but some effects look glitched on DX11, although this is a problem with the game and not Linux.

Game runs perfectly without any tinkering, with performance on par with Windows under DX12. However, keyboard inputs won't be recognised if running the game with gamescope to get HDR working.
Limit TDP to 10W and FPS to 40
Game will slow down to 30FPS and under on later stages of the missions
TDP limit to 12W
Game will slow down to single digit frames when a moderate amount of enemies and bullets are on the screen
Game runs just fine, but expect significant slowdowns on later waves as more enemies and projectiles are rendered on the screen

Game crashes frequently when running in DX12
Game needs to run in DX11, however this disables FSR3 upscaler and frame gen, and also ray tracing options, although this game is very well optimised

It's install and play. Everything works exactly the same as it does on Windows. No performance difference also.
Textures and models flicker constantly between normal and LOD mode, even when everything is close to the player.
Game needs Proton Experimental after the 1896 update, otherwise it won't boot.
Game causes GPU reset with AMD, impossible to play
mangohud %command%
Game causes a GPU reset on AMD cards at any time, requiring a forced reboot. No amount of tinkering changes this, and the environment variables shared across protondb are placebo at best. It is impossible to recommend this game due to this issue.

I've tried multiple proton versions, limiting FPS, changing graphical presets, frame gen, FSR, underclocking my GPU and nothing changes.

Game drops to 50FPS or lower constantly and randomly
With Mesa git 25.1 (with amdonly-gaming-mesa-* from AUR) and Proton Hotfix, the game is now playable without GPU resets/DE crashes (tested on a 2 hour long session, previously would crash after mere seconds). Playing on a 7900XTX and 7800X3D at 1440p on Ultra, the performance is a lot worse than on Windows, ranging from anything between 50 and 130FPS. With frame gen enabled, FPS is between 120 and 280 with no graphical degradation or crashes so far.
Do not use the environment variables/flags others share around here, as most of them are either placebo or just don't even exist at all on wine/vkd3d.

Changed the FOV to 152, as the game's maximum 100 is around the usual 70.
The flames animation on the ship's cockpit while entering a planet's atmosphere sometimes glitch out
Changing any graphics settings will put the game on single digit frames, requiring a restart to fix.
On Windows, for some people (including me) this game cannot use more than 50% of the GPU for some reason, almost as if it thinks it's running in the backgorund, thus reducing the framerate a lot (50FPS on my 3080 @2160P) and changing graphic settings don't do anything for performance. This issue also happens on Linux if mangohud is running on top of the game, and without it it can use 100% of the GPU, getting the expected performance.
Limit TDP to 7W, GPU clock to 300MHz
Increasing the resolution in Steam options for the game might slightly help with small text
Game runs perfectly fine on the Steam Deck with the default settings.

Some dust and smoke particles in dungeons flicker in very high brightness
Game runs perfectly out of the box with no tinkering needed.
On a 3080/7800X3D on 2160p game runs on sub 60fps with DLSS on Ultra Performance
Need to disable Steam Overlay otherwise game will crash on startup. ProtonGE or Proton Experimental required to play.

Upscalers (DLSS/FSR/XeSS) are not available on Linux for some reason, and Smart Zoi features are also missing
Game is playable as expected after changing to Proton Experimental or ProtonGE. Features such as upscalers and Smart Zoi are missing and editing the config files does not do anything. Performance is the same as on Windows 10 on my setup.
