Working out of the box with latest proton, and with good performance on medium settings.
The game presented some black boxes on the terrain when zooming in all the way in the map, but these are rare and were not an issue at all.
When alt-tabbing, I notice a severe screen tearing when returning to the game, despite having vsync turned on. Closing the game and opening again fix this.
Despite my hardware, the game presented severe slowdowns when playing on the highest graphics settings. Playing on medium/low settings fixed the issue, with smooth 60 fps.
With the lasted proton I installed the game directly on steam and without any issues and the game worked well out of the box.
Launcher crashed during installation.
Native version runs fine, except for some frame drops that occur when some menus are open, such as the council menu. To prevent frame drops I disabled vsync, capped fps at 60 and removed characters animation and character SSAO in the game settings.
The game needs the -useembedded flag to be able to create new games without crashing. The other tweaks are to increase performance. This game runs smoothly but shows a higher cpu usage when running on proton than when running on windows.
Launch options used: "PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% -useembedded"
The game works out of the box. Smooth 60fps and no performance issues at all. I played with keyboard and mouse only.
Alt-tabbing caused crashed or major graphical glithes when returning, forcing me to close the game and open it again. Avoid alt-tabbing while playing this.
The game works fine, just avoid alt-tabbing.
Played the first chapter with no problems at all. Did no configuration other than using proton experimental.
Black screen
The game boots to a black screen with only audio playing. This seems to be a common issue with this game on wayland.
Need to run the configuration tool first and make sure that DirectX 9 is selected as a driver. After that the game runs perfectly.
Sometimes I get a crash to desktop after alt-tabbing too much, but it is very rare and after many hours playing. Shouldn't happen to most people.
Needs to launch with --skip-intro flag otherwise the game will crash. Other than that, the game runs flawlessly. No other issues.
