95% of the audio issues I had were just crackling and popping. However, there was also an instance of one cutscene's audio being delayed and playing on top of the next after some initial lag, and another time all the sound effects were missing during a section of a level.
There were very brief instances of stuttering throughout.
The hints section at the bottom of the loading screen never displays any text.

With the game's servers being shut down in the near future, it's sad to say that linux-only gamers probably won't ever be able to play this title. I tried Proton 7.0-1, several different versions of GE, experimental, and experimental with bleeding edge enabled; I never got past the launcher. It doesn't help that the game has Battleye either. Slowdown occurs, albeit rarely, in the latter half of the game.
The cutscenes play correctly on Proton-7.0rc3-GE-1. Aside from infrequent slowdown, the only remaining issues are also present when playing on Windows.

While the DirectX build is stable, the Vulkan build is surprisingly prone to crashing.
The briefing cutscenes only play correctly on the Vulkan build. However I would still recommend going with the default instead due to stability reasons.
Using Proton Experimental [bleeding-edge] on the Vulkan build after the most recent update gives a flawless experience.
