Having played the RA campaign for about 15 minutes. Everything works fine out of the box on my system.
Out of the box running max 25FPS on low settings RX 6900 XT
about 20FPS on an RX 6900 XT - on low settings 1080p
If you installed AMDVLK along the mesa drivers, make sure to set AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV %command%
in your launch parameters. Else you will get < 20 FPS even on a beefy GPU
On launch displays wine launcher in system tray then crashes immediately.
Needed to add Launch Options: "+com_skipIntroVideo 1 +com_skipSignInManager 1" in order to prevent the game not running due to intro.

EA Origin cloud saves do not work for me
Sometimes when trying to exit the game via menu, the application is still running in minimized window. However when closing this via right-click menu, it shuts down without problems.

Memory leak when playing cutscenes until game crashes
Latest Patch Fixed Crashing Cutscenes
Since the latest patch (Hotfix 1.0.33633) cutscenes are by default limited to 30FPS and will not crash the game due to a memory leak. Good job, Rockfish!
Game is perfectly playable so far - although the performance could be better, considering the hardware.
Since Horizon: game performance slows down to a halt even on a decent machine - either on foot or in cockpit.
Unplayable since Horizon update. The first few minutes on foot are a bit sluggish but playable - however it gets progressively worse until it's sub 5 FPS even in menus. Even space flight is affected by this.
(note: I tested DOOM Eternal with the same setup and it ran >120FPS on 1440p with high settings)
Odyssey update slows down performance to a halt (<5FPS after a couple of minutes) - on foot and in cockpit.
This is a correction: the slowdown of course happened after the ODYSSEY update - not Horizons (which ran fine before).
Also note: even a clean reinstall didn't fix the issue
Runs at around 40 FPS in eg The Grove running on Best Appearance setting on DX9. Really not sure how someone else got over 100 FPS. I tried various Proton, Proton-GE, wine-GE versions and updated to mesa 22. Still the same FPS as before I switched to Manjaro's testing branch. Really bad performance given the GPU I'm running. CPU usage is at around 30-40% on all cores so not looking like the bottleneck either.
Very low FPS on AMD GPU - Very smooth on nvidia GPU (2022-01-08)
Very low FPS on all settings on my AMD RX 6900 XT - however on a nvidia GTX 1080 it runs very smooth on max settings.
Works well apart from random freezes
Hangs for a couple of seconds during races. This happens randomly - sometimes I can play for an hour with an issue, sometimes it freezes after a few minutes.
It was basically unplayable for me. Apart from very low FPS even on low settings, the game crashes after a few minutes ingame.
Proton-5.6-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Very slow FPS even on low settings
Crashes after a few minutes ingame.
When running default Proton ( 5.0-6 and lower ) the game doesn't even launch and crashes with a DX crashdump report.

Using Big Picture Streaming and PS4 DualShocks worked without any issues so nothing in the way of a nice couch experience of Kiryu Kazuma san's stray cats collecting.
DualSense PS5 Controller:
- needed to set "Disable Steam Input" in settings
- else the controller would be completely unresponsive
- was not mapped correctly with any Proton version I tested (even GE)
- the ONLY version I was able to play with correct mappings was using
Proton Experimental
Quite a lot of stuttering in game and in cutscenes on all settings (low-ultra)
