Game crashes instantly

So I did every fix. I played one match after restarting my PC and using GE AFTER installing origin with 6-15. It no longer opens. Just closes. I have 40+ minutes of playtime that are just me opening the game while the exe does not launch. BORKED

FFXIIIfix, Leviathan Tears, DLC, and Xbox button support. I also attempted to use steamplay.
Textures pop in and out constantly during gameplay. World pop-in.
Input was sometimes laggy. I couldn't even start the game because it wouldn't let me select Normal, or easy with my controller. Keyboard became unresponsive to the game aswell.
I modified FF13fix.ini turning on the games constant polling for a gamepad/keyboard which seems to activate maybe every minute? So every minute my inputs worked until I made a selection in a menu.
LB, and RB were also binded to up/down on the control stick for some reason which breaks one of the games core battle functions. Up/down worked normally pressing LB/RB moved the cursor up making it impossible to paradigm shift. Couldn't get keyboard commands to work for it either.
Could not get the save menu to load. I believe it saved since I have a save. However it's kind of terrifying. If you can get the mapping to work it would be playable.
Starting the game, and on load screens fps will drop as low as 1.
This game doesn't play well on PC. Lots of PS3s are dying due to thermal paste drying underneath a dye you can't remove without a special tool, and emulation for this title sucks.
It actually runs better then on Windows if you use the settings I mention below. I'm running 3440x1440 with the 4800 shadow resolution!

Cloud save from windows didn't transfer over. Unsure why.
The game will lag heavily while loading shaders if you don't use either
DXVK_ASYNC or PROTON_USE_WINED3D
Both have pros, and cons.
DVXK_ASYNC gives you more FPS, but you will have more stutters from shader cache.
PROTON_USE_WINE3D activates OPENGL mode less fps, but also less stuttering.
I haven't tried the mods yet that add back rain, and other things. I know they work fine. They shouldn't mess up your performance. You can skip the exe patch by using PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE
I know this isn't a popular game anymore, but it has interesting mechanics. One of the few ways to play it now without owning a PS3, or Xbox360. It can't even be emulated yet. Good luck, and have fun. Like I said it runs MUCH better then on windows so this is the definitive way to play it.
Controller detected did not work. Tried Big Picture with a config. Controller still didn't work in game. Very disappointing. I also tried experimental, and no luck.
Title Screen has some minor glitching when leaves fall. Noticed nothing else.
Works fine with latest Proton Experimental Beta, and Glorious Eggroll. No tinkering beyond that. Starts in windowed mode swapped to fullscreen just fine. I have also modded the game with Boruto Storm Redux. No issues. Fully playable. Have not tried online, but I don't believe there is an anti-cheat so it should work.

Custom Characters are not available. They will either crash your game, or be invisible. This also includes classic teams, and any player added to rosters after the games release through updates. You are also unable to download any characters from the internet to add into your game. It seems to be impossible to add custom rosters, and new characters not included in the base game. Unsure if this happens in the steam variation, but it's impossible to enjoy the game through epic services like this.
You are unable to play now as well. The game will crash if you choose NBA basketball leaving you with blacktop, WNBA, and myleague.
Bugs noted above. Degraded experience for a super fan. Buy it on steam, or stick to windows version if you play thousands of hours.
If you alt+tab the game will not pop back up
Will sometimes crash during MyTeam mode.
Recent upgrades to Heroic Launcher have helped make this playable through the epic service. Custom Rosters will have invisible players from either mods, or players coming in from g-league 2021-2022 covid times. You can delete them from the roster then save it. This is the exact same on windows. This is different then my previous update where the character editor would not even load. All of the 2021-2024 rookies should work as intended, and the classic teams.
You can not edit the invisible players, or your game will crash. Just delete them, and enjoy the rosters!
Installed directsound, and dsound (I think that's what they are called.) Either way MIDIs do not work if you have PulseAudio which is default for many distros. I'm new so i don't have an alternative. No BGM will work since you can't listen to MIDIs in Linux, or Wine by default. Kind of lame, and game breaking since music is a big deal.
Requires proton on Arch. Should work without GE. Awesome game.
Beyond the launch command it's perfect. I had 100 FPS constant at 3440x1440 Ultra. I had 48fps in windows.
