I don't think it's a particurarly enjoyable experience, but playable if you want to make it so
very minor and infrequent issues at the very end when paused
Frequent black spots, broken water rendering can make the fishing minigame more challenging
Resource leak after playing for extended time, causes system to become inoperable. Regular restarts required.
see above
Lots of graphical issues
Mouse does not work
Game runs awful, struggles to keep playable FPS, seems to be happening on Windows as well
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%
Used the FFXVI Fix: https://github.com/Lyall/FFXVIFix/ to resolve a lot of the port issues. Running with the newest Proton GE the game's actually stable with no artifacts, crashes or performance issues. Very smooth experience going through the demo, high hopes for launch.
The rendering of overlays is broken, small usability issue but does not stop you from playing, just makes it less readable
It runs basically flawlessly barring the one visual bug.
Needs to run on iGPU, poor frame pacing
Game crashes on my 7900 XTX, forced iGPU
You must use SteamDeck=1 %command% to make the cutscenes work.
The game runs pretty much flawlessly, had to close a window by alt tabbing on initial launch, but no issues beyond that. Not sure why it's marked as "Borked"
gamescope %command%
Full screen causes big rendering issues without Gamescope on
Controller does not work when Gamescope enabled
Could not save settings, they reset every restart
Multiplayer works fine, other issues are still present though
VK_ICD_FILENAMES=amd_icd64.json %command%
minor artifacts when using FSR only, no issues using XESS or native
Game still does not work on my system using RADV, switching to AMDVLK, while generally slower, had been giving me very high stability on both this and Dragons Dogma 2
The only issue I ran into is very easily resolveable, and even if ignored, all it results with is an ocassional stutter while switching area
The game's graphics memory goes up gradually over time, but this can be resolved by simply changing the texture quality, flipping it from Highest to Hight back to Highest returns my memory to normal levels.
It's honestly much better than I expected.
There's some weird rendering around grass in some areas, but it might be just an issue with the game as friends running on Windows seem to have similar problems
The only note is triple buffering is default on and I cannot turn it off, otherwise game runs basically as native with very minor flickering on grass in some areas
accessing the options menu crashes the game
Minor flickering on some textures, nothing that impacts the game and can be easily ignored
Game crashed every 15-20 minutes, might be GPU driver issue, not tried on Windows
Due to the crashing, MP is not playable.
