The demo works without any problems.
For people using a Linux-Distro with SELinux, there are known issues with Proton and the execmod safety measure. See other sources for a more in depth explaination. Disabling the safety measure temporarily while gaming seems to be the only known sollution for now.
Not enough VRAM to play with Proton while it was OK on Windows. 4GB is not enough, 6GB should be though.
SteamDeck=1 %command%
Flickering to black in the launcher, thus disabled with SteamDeck=1
VRAM usage is higher under proton in comparison to windows
Crashes because it runs out of VRAM
It is not the fault of the compatibility and more of the system requirements and hardware. The game itself runs without any problems. Everything works and I was able to join games without big performance problems, until out of VRAM results in a crash a few minutes into a match.
When reinstalling the game the save games have to be copied manually, but it is just one file in an easy to reach folder.
