In typical EA fashion they threw the Linux and Steam Deck playerbase under the bus as a scapegoat for the cheaters in the game.

Don't give EA money.

The game runs great but the main problem you might find getting it to run is that by default for some reason it starts completely uncapped running into the hundreds to thousands of FPS, leading to crashing and freezing in the initial loading screen. You can fix this by capping the framerate via Mangohud config.
Additionally KDE's Baloo File Indexing went bananas during the "Press Any Button" screen, leading to yet another freeze. This might be related to Windows players reporting similar freezing issues when connected to network drives or Onedrive, probably because of the game picking up lots of files. Disabling file indexing in KDE's System Settings > File Search fixed this for me, but in Gnome 44 it would crash randomly at this point so your mileage may vary.
Gives EAC Error 106
Saw the last report was 6 months ago so I installed to give it a try but still no chance...

Game runs like a dream. HF!
Requires adding clearcpuid=304 after GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT and rebuilding grub if you own a Ryzen 7000 series CPU if it crashes on launch, as per https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/194yurj/how_to_play_the_finals_on_linux/, other than that it works out of the box with Proton Experimental.
Fantastic experience out of the box, NTSync helps the game push over 120 FPS, giving an absurd increase in performance over W10/W11
