Plays perfectly on the Steam Deck. Default mouse controls are a great fit for this game.

Prerendered cutscenes are unfortunately broken even on experimental and GE but works fine on current Proton 7.0-2 otherwise.
Runs great out of the box and with some control tweaking to your taste it's not a bad way to play the game.
Soundtrack player and motion comics don't play but the NES games work fine out of the box.
Some text can be a tad small but nothing unreadable

The game runs perfectly out of the box. If you want you can try limiting to 40hz for increased batterylife but note that this messes up the FMV cutscenes, so if you care about that best to leave it. Played from start to finish with no issues whatsoever.
Although playing MMOs on a handheld isn't ideal, this works perfectly fine, especially if you just want to do some crafting or deeding.
Hotbar skills mapped to the D-Pad and face buttons. things like inventory mapped to a touch menu on the right trackpad.
