Crash at launch (demo )
Dialog complaing about an "Uncheater" that fails to load.
Must get into Steam's Big Picture mode and toggle the controller for the game
MK11 has (October 2020) a better ProtonDB rating but in reality it can't be played on Linux because of the anti-cheat. DOA6 has no anticheat and should really be at a higher rating on ProtonDB!
Starts and display a message recommending the use of a controller. Then it fails to recognise my wired Xbox 360 controller. Refunded!
Black screen on launch. Unplayable and unusable. Need to stop the game from Steam.
Does NOT work on Manjaro in Septenber 2022
Error then Crash
The game detects a file is corrupted straight after installation, proposes to repair, then the game crashes
The only thing that doesn't work are cut-scenes between chapters. They don't add anything anyway, so it's actually better ;-)
XBox 360 controller NOT supported
My controller (Xbox 360 wired) isn't recognised by the game on Linux. I spend an hour looking for solutions on the net but all I could get is have the B button work when I need to press the A button, and that's it. In most of my games I use the controller, and I don't have any issues. I spend another 3 hours downloading the game again, on Windows this time. The controller works there. Alas I need the game to work on Linux, NOT Windows. And I need the controller. I never play with WASD. Refunded.
Hangs -> Unplayable
Displays a splashscreen. 20 minutes later, it's still there. Unplayable!
Fail
Crashes at the start or hangs when the game's logo appears on screen. Using tweaks form the Internet I managed to make it start on Linux (Manjaro), but there is no sound and graphics are scrambled.
Just a couple of frames per second on Linux (Nvidia 1060 6GB) while very smooth on Windows.
Wait until it's out of early access?
Apparently 3 TB free on the destination disk isn't enough to install 20 GB ...
Briefly downloads some assets then opens a black window. Some train sounds can be heard, but nothing shows. Unplayable.
